So am I. He spend the whole afternoon driving to places he and my mother have a past. Homes we lived in and places we were in for holidays. And he's doing well now, not sad at all, even joking with me. And doing things in the house again. He's himself again! Of course I know he might fall back again. I will keep an eye on him for sure. But it seems he's moving on.

I can't find a reference, but I remember that a sudden change from suicidal thoughts to cheerfulness often precedes a suicide. Once the person has decided to go through with it, that decision has a positive effect on mood.

You may be right that it's a false alarm. But if not, how will you look back on this time?

No this is different. As in that case you refer to the person doesn't tell everyone it's okay and that he's going on with his life and what he's going to do. Besides he already said yesterday to my mother it seems that he won't be able to kill himself. We misunderstood the messages he send to my mother. He was just telling her he was over her and was going on with his life.

I know what you mean with that changing of mood but in this case other things rule out that it's that. But of course I will keep an eye on him. But I think he's able to do close this chapter and that's why he was driving past our old homes.

Glad he's doing better. Just be there to support him, if he needs it. Spend time with your dad, it's always a good thing, regardless of whether or not they're in a funk. He just needs to be reminded that he still has something to live for and that everything's going to be okay.

Suicide is serious, though. I'd keep an eye on him. And just try to remain happy.

It's been so long since I've seen it that no. I don't remember anything past episode three. I remember more of inuyasha than I do sailor moon. (And at least inuyasha wasn't always trying to teach me morals and didn't seem to be stuck in the 80s. >:[)

Also, my boyfriend is joining cantr. Mixed feelings lol.

If he would have wanted to commit suicide he would have done so already. He just was away the afternoon to close the chapter of the past with my mother. He's just himself again now. Like I have my father back.

Now that I'm getting around to reading this thread..
I like cake cones. Years ago I had them fairly often, but I haven't had one in a long time.
A long time ago I used to watch sailor moon with my sisters. And it seems that Sailor Moon is a good stereotype of what a lot of animes are like. Once I saw one of my sisters watching an anime scarily similar and the last Bleach episode made a short mockery of that type of "transformation/heart power attack ".

So I haven't heard anything about the flood in Australia considering that all the coverage in America is about Tucson (reasonably) and Sarah Palin (stupidly). It's good to know I can also get my news from failbook:
