What annoys me: the expectation that others are here to entertain you. Calling a town boring is as much a reflection of yourself as it is of the town. Are your characters doing interesting things? If they are, then you are making your own fun. If not, what is wrong with you?

Seconded. I already complained about this in another thread, but come on, people. If all you can think of to do is whine about the town being boring/quiet, you're not helping the problem.
Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow...

Leaders/followers
I haven't really seen the problem in cantr, and I certainly don't have the problem, as my characters are followers, and will happily do what's asked of them. I have seen it in Puzzle Pirates, though, and in real life, as a father of five. In PP, I usually run a very loose ship, let people people run whatever task they wish. But sometimes, I need a particular something done, and request it to be done. When they are resistant, I sometimes have to make them walk the plank (to be replaced by an NPC that will do what is needed). They either don't understand that sometimes one has to do something that one personally don't want to do for the good of all (all jobs on a ship in PP directly contribute to its success in battles in different ways). Of course, this has to be balanced with the fact that it's only a game, and well, people just aren't gonna do something in a game unless it's fun. But at the same time refusal makes everyone else have a lousy time. I imagine similar things in cantr towards getting grand projects completed, etc.
In real ife, of course, I don't have the option to make them walk the plank...but the same issues apply. Sometimes you just have to do things you don't want to do.. suck it up.
