:( Welcome to the club... In my case, add coughing, horrible voice, chest and muscle pain and motion sickness, too. I'm going home off sick after 1pm.
Hope you get better soon, Echo Man.
On a happier note, I had my first costs cheque in today! Yay. *collapses on her desk, hoping no one will come into her room before lunchtime*
Edit: 2.18pm and still here. One of our admin guys is not here and the other one is rubbish at the stuff I need done. Oh and he seems to have lost my application he was supposed to scan for me, so I need to draft it again. That was time I could do without wasting. Duplicate work: Non recoverable. Worse than thst, though: Goodbye my afternoon in bed. *coughs her lungs out in a rather unladlylike fashion*
End of the extended rant.

YES, the new year is finally here! I cannot wait for tonight--my friend Steve is hosting his awesome annual new year's party at his house. Sure, I always wake up the next day half-naked in a ditch somewhere with a bottle of whiskey curled under my arm, but whatever! :D

I'm in the sick group too >.< I feel absolutely horrible. If breathing doesn't get better soon, it's an ER trip for me.

After around 5 years of slowly learning and relearning, and many hundreds of recording tries, I managed to record a decent version of Moonlight Sonata. :D

Continuing an off topic discussion from the Characters who irritate you thread:
Snickiedoo wrote:I often shower blind because I don't wear glasses or contacts in the shower and/or shampoo seems to have a strange attraction to my eyes, especially on the days I'm a daredevil and wear my contact lenses in the shower.

I haven't used contacts since August because I don't want to spend money, but when I did have them, I was fine using them in the shower, though you probably don't want to get shampoo on contacts. And during the summer I did a lot of swimming with no problem. In fact, contacts are like perfect goggles it seems. I can see fine underwater without contacts now, but at least with chlorine eventually my eyes get irritated if there's not a contact. :)
Of course, this is not what's recommended, and they tell you not to do this kind of stuff.

I've had more problems with losing glasses then with contacts; glasses are more expensive to lose, and I've permanently lost 3 pairs in the past. And contacts can last a long time if you take good care of them with the liquid and such. If you don't..well I've gotten pink eye twice, where any visible light was extremely painful.

I wear contacts in the shower almost every day, and they say you're only supposed to wear them for three weeks whereas I can usually get a pair to last for six. Oops. Oh well, don't have to worry about going blind, I'm just about already there.

Well....I usually wear mine in the shower. But I know I'm not supposed to. And if there are any ophthalmologists around, I want to make it seem like I follow the rules so I don't get lectured. :)
Which means somehow I'm frequently unlucky and manage to get shampoo in my eyes a lot. lol

One I definitely don't do is wear contacts in the pool, though. I hear they make great "goggles" per se, but since my eye doctor only gives me what's supposed to be six months worth of contacts (which I've managed to stretch to a year and a half, and that's without taking excessively good care of them) I don't wear them while swimming because I don't want to lose them; I go half-blind and with actual goggles. 8)

You think that is bad... Those disposable contacts.. I wore mine for almost a year.. cleaning them when they fell out or my eyes got sore.. Of course.. I had no money to get anymore.. soo as soon as I ran out of contacts.. I started using my son's old glasses

But I will be getting contacts again soon. I hate having to wear glasses..

Was supposed to have a new years party.. but it fell through.. It takes my man 3 hours to get home to then tell me he is going to his mothers tonight to visit with his girls which is 2 1/2 hours away.. What does that mean? I get to bring in the new year alone. Was supposed to go with him to his mothers house tomorrow, then told him that the kids and I aren't gonna go down there. What a wonderful way to start the new year.
