That's an oddly ecclectic list, Snickiedoo.

Well, today I listened to Hardrock and Coco and Joe and Suzy Snowflake I've never actually been to Chicago, where these are apparently cherished Xmas traditions of over 50 years, but they are oddly compelling...

I've been listening to Beach Fossils and Andrew Jackson Jihad of late. Pretty awesome, honestly.

Various and sundry Broadway musical selections -- mopst recently "The Rain in Spain", from My Fair Lady
And.. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata as played by our own Joshuamonkey! Bravo! I'm no officianado, but it sounded great to me! (I can plink out "Edelweiss" on the piano (melody line only), but that's about it).

It's been an In Flames day for me today. Gone through "Soundtrack To Your Escape" and "A Sense of Purpose". Aggressively trying to cure this stupid cold. Fail though.

Some snippets of lyrics really fits though:

"I fell like sh*t, but at least I feel something"

"Please heal me, I cant sleep. Thought I was unbreakable, but this is killing me.
Call me, everything, Make me fell unbreakable, lie and set me free."

Scala. A friend turned me on to them yesterday. So beautiful! They do covers but I think they just make the original songs even better.

Lifting Shadows off a Dream by DT. My first song of 2011. "Lifting shadows off a dream... once broken... She can turn a drop of water into an ocean" My feelings exactly. :)
"She could make something sound stupid just by hearing it.”
"For a short moment there, you almost sounded human."

Great song. I've had my player on random today, so I've listened to a little bit of everything.

Playing Guitar Hero Metallica with my 17 years old nephew. That, and the wonderful gift from a friend (a recorded version of "Nothing Else Matters") has made their music the soundtrack of the beginning of this brand new life I'm starting. I can't think of a better beginning.

"I can still feel my hopes twitch... Crushed..." Spot on.
Thought to self: I swear this guy has been living my life 14 years ahead of me... How else would he know each and every time???

The album "El Espíritu del Vino" by Héroes del Silencio.

Not feeling like the Sirena Varada (Mermaid Aground) anymore.

From "Bendecida II" (Blessed II):
"Y en tu ausencia las paredes se pintarán de tristeza
y enjaularé mi corazón entre tus huesos"
(And in your absence, the walls will be painted with sadness
and I will jail my heart amongst your bones)

Not feeling like that anymore...
