Interesting syllogism Joo. That really makes me question Aristotle's sanity.

And as an owner (or husband of owner) of multiple throw pillows, I can say that they come in handy when the back hurts. The cats also love to puke on them for some reason (which is my ROTD). One deadly mistake you can make with them though is to have them mis-arranged when company comes over...thats up there with the toilet seat when if comes to potentially deadly offenses and invokes stares from a Medusa like spouse.

ah darn...I gotta go clean up some more cat puke.

rant, rant, stomp, stomp, rant.

Don't question Aristotle. Question Joo's sanity. That's not a valid syllogism format, as I'm sure Joo knows.

So we've ascertained that humans are insects and that rectangles are squares. What next?!

Well, since technically we were discussing animals, not insects-

Insects are animals.

And spiders aren't insects.

Seriously guys?
I feel like I'm back at nerd camp, eugh....
Yes, spiders are arachnids and I disagree, I don't care what anyone says, insects are not animals. Don't they have their own kingdom or whatever?

And beavers, who live in water and have a scaly tail, are fish and can therefore be eaten on Fridays. It's all a question of whose definition you use.

However, according to the most common definition of the word, insects are in fact animals.

I got this in an email...for some reason it hit home:
-==-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Living Will:

Last night, my friend and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, 'I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.

She got up, unplugged the Computer, and threw out my wine.

She's such a bitch......

Ooooooohhh..... who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!

Spongebob lives and breathes, right? Animals live and breathe. o.o

Scientifically, though, sponges ARE animals, as they exist in the Kingdom Animalia. They belong in their own phylum, though. Spiders (arachnids) and insects (arthropods) also exist in the Kingdom Animalia. If I'm not mistaken (too lazy to look it up), they both belong into phylum Arthropoda, but split off in class or family, probably class. (Again, too lazy to look it up.) Humans belong in phylum Mammalia, class Chordata (right?).

Kingdom Protista is a weird group. I never quite got that.

Bugs=tiny and go crunch and are the reason I can eat veggies.
Animals=either furry, awesome, and my bff, or walking/crawling/swimming tanks of death/doom that want to feast on my unborn. You know, either one.
Sponges=singing squares that can't drive and wear square pants or ucky things that look like penises. Or maybe that sea cucumbers?
Who cares, I am so cold my bones hurt and my new roomie, Mom, is being insane. Going to stupid ex-boyfriends tomorrow to get the rest of my things and try not to cry when I see my babies.

So tortoises aren't animals? They're not furry, but they're not tanks of doom either.
