Tying down weapons.
I can find the post where making weapons visibile and hiding them was so let me start new...
After weapons are visible an option to tie down a weapon would create more order.
This is based on medival times where travelling people with weapons could keep thier weapon but tie it down so it was not available for use immideatly but they didn't have to worry about handing it over.
Guards would not have thier weapons tied but some places may elect to let people carry heavier "defensive" weapons if they were tied down.
Tying down would be instant and visible.
Untying would be a Cantr hour and visible.
Cancelling the untying from the activties list for yourself would be visible.
Tool/weapons would become more interesting. "I need my battleaxe. I need to chop some trees {and maybe a few heads as well}"

Good idea.. but
This is a good idea as you can tie your weapon down in any enviroment to show you are peacefull, however it would still be more effective for law enforcement to confiscate weapons temporarily, and give them back when they leave, or confiscate them all together, hopefully creating a weapons free enviroment, (porviding that weapons construction is controlled)
