But it's not IC! My character is...charming, and seductive, and *is* good in bed.
I kinda based it on a real person and I guess I really didn't think it through.
Plus, even if it's awkward, if I'm going to have fake sex, I'm going to have GOOD fake sex, damnit!

:lol: :lol: I have done that as well, and the sad part is that the other player seemed to not even notice.


It also depends on how it is played out. If there is a reason behind it, and if it actually makes sense, then yes, it will continue, but if it is some whacked out sex fiend...that is easy to spot, and those are fun to screw with.

I recently had a situation where one of my characters, being who they were, would have had to break character to avoid the sexual situation (newlywed type deal)...whereas I kept hoping the other character would be all *fade to black*, and I didn't want to break character to be like "Erm, can we just pretend to have sex?"

I honestly have very little time to dedicate to role-playing anymore. I keep my character's informed and active, but that's really all I have time for. Nothing but the facts, M'am, and point me to the project to work on.

I've had to roleplay out of some sticky situations myself. Of course, one was before I announced my being fifteen..

People who were involved here will know who I'm talking about, but they know who I play anyway. But I'm still not naming names.

Mine and one other character were randomly splashing around in a mudhole, and the other character started trying to persuade my character into having sex with the other character's boyfriend. Apparently she'd brought it up with her boyfriend previously, who had said no, but she still wanted to convince him. My character was stupid and immature and said she'd agree to it ONLY if the boyfriend agreed to it also. I figured this was pretty safe since the boyfriend had already said no to it, but then she started going into the "So you'd be willing?" speech, and goes on about the ways she was going to persuade him. So I freak out iRL and frantically try to think of a way to roleplay it out without going out of character. My character ended up telling the other character that she didn't want to mess up anything that the other character and her boyfriend had going on, which was SO out-of-character. The other character didn't seem to think mine would, but thankfully for me she dropped the subject and never broached it with her again. I talked to the player of the boyfriend, and she apparently didn't broach it with him either.

The same character (mine) later went to fall in love right before leaving the town with her new boyfriend. And some things happened, but it never got all the way due to tiny things I did, for example falling asleep iRL. He kept trying, though (before they were engaged), and finally I just told him I was a minor. I think his player was disappointed by that, because suddenly he (I'm assuming the player is male) was a bit less active (not by sexual means, but by…uh…oh, you know what I mean!) with my character than he was with his other characters that my other characters knew.

Another character of mine maybe a week before the crash was hit on by another character. This was just out of the blue. Flat-out physical seduction. My character had to drag her inside a building and run in another to avert it. When he finally had the guts to come back out, she was waiting for him and attacked him through ferocity of words, which quickly turned into another attempt at seduction, complete with the putting on of a "sexy voice", biting his bottom lip as she kissed him (he didn't really kiss back), and some touching (no explanation needed, I hope). My character was like, "Look, I don't want to have sex with you." She asked why not, and that's when I told the character's player OOCly that I was a minor and didn't want to roleplay sex. They OOCly congratulated me for my self-control, and the character went on to draw away from my char and go and seduce somebody else probably.

So those are my stories.


That's a great way to get out of unwanted sex scenes, though. Tell them you're a minor.

Hadn't really considered playing the minor card before. I'll keep that in mind, though not nearly as fun as RPing it badly. I haven't encountered bad sex RP but know of another player who has had it happen to them and it cracks me up every time I think about it. Wonder if they'd post it in the funny quotes thread. It's not R-rated, if I recall, just ridiculous.

My problem is, though, I so hate to break character that I don't want to say anything. If I were to say something, I'd have no problem saying I didn't want to do the actual sex thing (it's a little disturbing image that always run through my head--not only what is the other player doing while reading this, but I also have to use a public computer, and people reading over my shoulder would be awwwwkward) but I hate (OOC:)ing. My own fault. /le shrug

It's possible to do fade to black with style, without it being too bluntly cut off. In a book I wrote as a teenager, I got over the only sex scene by writing "and that night, in that closet, both of their childhood was hopelessly over." Not sure if it's grammatically correct in English, but it went like that in Finnish.

Probably the worst sex scene in Cantr for me was when some amateur hooker offered to give Seko a blowjob. They went behind a building, and the girl kept hunting and whispering to other people while whispering to my character. She asked if he'd like her to spit the you-know-what into his mouth after he would release it in hers, and he was like eww, no! This coming from a guy who frequently dug his nose and ate what came out. You have to draw a line somewhere. She claimed some of the other customers liked that. It might be the only time that I intentionally faded to black, and left very quickly but did pay her, even though she was awful.
