The age thing is very unreliable as I can openly say that mine is incorrect. I was so paranoid about identity theft 15yrs ago (thereabouts) that I gave a false year of birth on yahoo. I was way past 21 at the time, I just didn't want any weird info getting out or stolen. Since that is my primary email now, the game thinks I am 50...I'm not quite there yet. If PD needs to contact me regarding this (probably not really an) issue, I have openly admitted to it and will provide proper info on request. Heck, I have no identity worth stealing anymore anyways.

I never try to rp sex with a char that I haven't been around for enough time to get a feel for how the other person plays. You can, like in real life flirt with someone and really this is the most rewarding part. In time it will naturally work itself out. I rp with someone that you would never imagine has the thought process of truly caring for another. For the most part he speaks very little, but his emotions change if he doesn't *get any* for a long period of time. If I could hand this player a reward for their rping skills I would. I can actually see everything he does when he gets in the mood to break free.

I hands down have to give the player of Elliot Blackrock praise. When I first starting playing I had a char fall madly in love with him. They cuddled, kissed, whispered nice things to each other but he never once made any advances that might have been out of line to a player that was new and hadnt really experienced enough of Cantr to know what it was truly all about.

Be careful! You can find yourself in some sticky situations. I have been kidnapped, have kidnapped, been made a sex slave, made others into one. If you play this role when its over it can have a terrible effect on your char. I know many many chars that have been permanently damaged from abuse or being the abuser. One lady comes to mind in particular. She was so sure she wanted to just jump any mans bones she could get her hands on. She was warned by my char that if he got a hold of her she would be sorry. She then willingly walked into a room to "play with him". Lets just say being locked in a room and forced to to the things you thought were going to be fun, then made to work for him, he played like someday he might actually care for her then sent her packing one day just because she hinted her jail time was almost over could not have been fun. I then saw her as another one of my char later on. She was terribly damaged by this.

I saw a funny bit of rp in FTO the other day that involved public nudity and a father accidentally bonking his adult daughter in the forehead with his "manhood" but it was all written in a tasteful manner. Then again, FTO has a "you must be 18 or over" clause in their terms and conditions, even though they don't require any actual age verification. I was just thinking if something like that happened in Cantr, somebody would surely get upset over it.

Most of my characters are capable of having sex, although finding partners for all, if any, is unusual. One of my characters has a girlfriend at the moment. She's really into him, and he thinks she's fun. But sex isn't part of the picture because in OOC this player told me she was getting married irl, and didn't feel appropriate playing out the sex graphically. I respected this, so the characters are still together, but the relationship is odd, because the boundaries don't fit the situation. I'll find that my character drifts towards flirting with other women in front of his girlfriend. Despite this, she still stays with him.

At one time, the majority of my chars that had sex.. it was rp'd. I would respond to whatever was written to me. I have had a char raped, but that was talked about ooc before it happened and was told that if it got too much to let that player know to tone it down a little. Now.. I am busy with so much going on in rl that if my chars are to have sex it would be something to the effects of *they had sex* or the fade to black statement. As far as I am concerned, my char did the act. It is for my char's development, not my enjoyment. And after rp'ing such acts for what seems like years.. I'm not interested in that kind of rp anymore. I have no problems telling the other player this either. If it is a problem, then I don't want my char around theirs for ooc reasons.. I'm not here to get you off as a player.. I am here to rp my char.

I think it's funny how hopelessly awkward I am with Cantr sex. I recently had a situation where one of my characters, being who they were, would have had to break character to avoid the sexual situation (newlywed type deal)...whereas I kept hoping the other character would be all *fade to black*, and I didn't want to break character to be like "Erm, can we just pretend to have sex?"
I know I should have just talked to them, but it wasn't that big a deal and I'm apparently a wuss when it comes to fake sex.
If that isn't counter intuitive I don't know what is.
