mojo randomly reminds me this thing exists so I used Google to find the forum and see what is up... otherwise I'm my usual not caring self except much worse. (Hell I'm only doing this as an excuse to avoid my NaNo story. XD ) I Google "Cantr Forum" and outside of Google asking me if I meant "Can't Forum?" I get the link I want as the top result. Well, Google does not ask about "Can't" so much anymore.

It has gotten to the point where I don't even wanna talk with Cantr people on my IMs as we've NOTHING in common outside of Cantr. I think Randi has me on permanent invisible, or is dead, to which I only noticed like... yesterday or maybe the day before. Was all: "Where did Randi go? Oh well, screw it."

Oh, but this did just randomly remind me I should probably check rev. I am one of the most active people there so Cantr probably doesn't have to worry about much competition.

And if people wanna RP, there are a thousand better ways than cantr. If you liked Cantr for the violence, I'd suggest the PG-13 board I use roleplayerguild and if you liked Cantr for the sex elliquiy there you go! You might learn some, I don't know, actual RPing tricks and tips on how to not suck too!

I'm shocked people are still here, though... and active. Utterly shocked. You would think, especially with the instant gratification that Cantr usually allowed for most members, they would have moved on to something else.

I read this in the check here first thread, and my symptoms of withdrawal have increased in waves.
I hope my account is still open... I took a break in the summer :s

I remember when the game went down. I was doing something with my "mute" and Snick, and when I went to check Snick's events, it gave me the red bar saying the game had been locked. I thought, "Okay, what is it this time?" Because the game had been going down a lot before for various other reasons (zombie apocalypse 2, something Seko did, the server acting crazy, et cetera). And I thought it was going to be back up the next day or something.

And then the news came out that Cantr had been hacked, and as I read the general reports (finding more and more bugs) my heart began to sink. I spent more yet less time on my phone in class (more frequently checking on it, but each visit was shorter than were my original actions when the game was up), and I actually started learning stuff.
Okay, kidding about that last part. I actually do do my work and learn things in class, and only go on Cantr when absolutely nothing at all is happening.

Throughout, my Cantr withdrawl symptoms have been progressively fluctuating. Some days I was in that I-could-live-without-Cantr mindset, other days it was that, "OMG, when is Cantr going to be back up???!!! -obvious display of impatience- " And I admit, I might've been a bit a bit rude about it on the Spanish board (but I hope I wasn't!). I wanted to know when it'd be back up and said one or two things I probably shouldn't've have, and their responses was a real eye-opener for me.

My dad, on the other hand, is pretty much to the point where he doesn't really care anymore. It's like, he has stories of the things that happened in Cantr where and while he played, and most of them he remembers fondly. But he can live without it. I don't even know the last time he's been on the forums. He occasionally asks me when the game will be up and if there have been any updates, and I've stopped telling him in efforts to get him more interested again so he'll check for himself. I'll make him come back, though, I promise.

I'm just going to spark the hope in him that the character I plan to spawn will spawn somewhere with one of his characters. My dad was really looking forward to interacting with that unspawned character.
If nothing else on a personal level, the downtime has given me a chance to really develop this unspawned character.

But yeah. One thing I keep neglecting to mention is my thanks to EchoMan for all of his hard work. Without him, the game might be up by now, but it'd be down again just as quickly because the security holes wouldn't've been plugged as well or something like that. So thank you, muchas gracias, merci beaucoup, vielen dank, grazie, domo arigato, tack, dziękuję, and all of those other phrases that mean "thank you."
(By the way, the only ones I used Google Translate for were Swedish and Polish, and to check the spelling on the French one. )

No exact day is decided yet. The coming weekend would be a splendid time, since we need to monitor the game when it comes back up. And maybe quickly fix stuff if we find any glitches.

No, I did not say that it will be up this coming weekend, just that the timing would be rather good. :)

There will be an official message to all players when the time is here.

The one issue I have with its possible relaunch this weekend is that I have a competition this weekend, and I have to be awake no later than 3am. And if we make finals, we can expect to be back no sooner than 3am on Sunday. My phone cannot last that long on the Internet, especially with the coding on Cantr. So obviously, I won't be on much if at all that day.

Other than that, the sooner the better. :)

I can't say I've had any withdrawal symptoms during the downtime. I just thought it was strange I couldn't play.
But when I discovered Cantr came back up I got into an ecstatic "Am I dreaming?" mood!

THANKS FOR BRINGING IT BACK!
