My nasal allergies were flaring up really badly yesterday, and I came home today and slept for an hour, but other than that I'm doing pretty well.

Now I get to go to marching band rehearsal and run around in the rain.

Looks like this one should be a quick one. The fever has gone down today and I'm feeling better already, although my throat still hurts.

I had pink eye (at least I think) a couple times from contacts. I think it lasted a week or two. With what I had, any light was extremely painful..

I've pink eye before and it lasted a week, but this time it refuses to go away, even with the eye drops the doctor gave me. :| At this point I'm starting to think I have no choice but to go back to the clinic.

I got a great job offer this week! But I am moving in Jan already paid for first last and security for my apartment so I could not take it. But it's ok I still want to move..A lot less money but I could never live in NYC even if I wanted to work for the Times. I will stick with my small town papers thank you.

I just swept the hairstyle category in Jeopardy! due to all the hair shopping I had been doing in Second Life for my character avatars.

For the sake of posting.....

Tuesday we did not go outside because the weather was bad. But.....we did get to record our show in the auditorium. It actually turned out pretty awesome (except you can't hear the piccolos! :x ).

Tonight we were supposed to go outside no matter what, but again the weather (a cold front coming in from the Gulf of Mexico) prevented us from doing so. In fact, rehearsal was cancelled about thirty minutes past call time. (My band director was in his office talking to the staff and council for a large portion of that, so that's why.)
So that means tomorrow I get to go outside during class and march in the cold!
Or, rather, what we Floridians define as cold, which is generally anything under 68°F (20°C). Yes, we're wimps when it comes to the cold.

At the competition this weekend, it is supposed to get to no higher than 68°F/20°C, and the low is expected to be around 44°F/6.6°C. Needless to say, we'll be packing jackets and turtlenecks and jeans underneath our uniforms. Except for those who are originally northerners. They'll likely sit around in their normal apparel and laugh at us for being cold. Whatever.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Edit:
I woke up in the middle of the night last night in an awkward position (as is normal when waking up at the wee hours of the morning), and my left arm was completely numb and paralysed. I literally had to pick up my arm with my other arm and move it to where bloodflow could get to it. Then it got cold and then really hot, and it was still some five minutes before I could (or rather, dared to) move it again. The ulnar portion of my left hand still feels funny, though that could be from me worrying about.

I love it when that happens! It's happened to me several times. Your brain needs oxygen within 4 minutes, but your other tissues can last longer than that before bad things happen.

My nose has been stuffed up for a week. It feels like I need to blow my nose to survive. Yet when I do, I get nosebleeds because the air is getting so dry. But my sinuses are so plugged up, and there's no time for the blood vessels to heal.

That sounds like what I had when I was three (except it was spring, not winter). I was sick ALL the time, and whenever I went to wipe my nose (I was too young to understand the concept of blowing it, not that I did it much voluntarily when I was old enough) I'd come up with a nosebleed. This happened everyday, and every morning I'd wake up with my face caked in dried blood. And when we went to the ear nose & throat specialist (too lazy to remember the professional name) my tonsils were apparently almost touching the back of my throat. So on 22 May 1999, I had my tonsils and adenoids removed, and while they were in there they cauterised the veins in my nose. I've had only two nosebleeds since: once when I was having a bad day and when I went to blow my nose I was a little too rough with the tissue (I literally cut my nose with the tissue), and the other from this summer when while blindfolded I ran into a brick wall.

So that's my story. :)

Edit: Fixed typo
