When you're 18, watch Animal House.
And how do you expect me to remember that I've been told to watch it by the time I actually turn 18?
Because, you should absorb everything I say with reverence and awe.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I just spent 19 hours this weekend working on some 80 index cards for APWH. I don't think my hand has ever hurt more from writing so much. And never have I found history to be so interesting yet so mundane. =.=
The great thing is I have a major test in that class tomorrow.
But for now, I'm back.....just in time to launch back into my busy schedule between school, band, sleep, and Internet.
Jazz rehearsal tomorrow, should be interesting considering we haven't met as a whole for three weeks.
Regiment rehearsal on Tuesday, which I'm almost dreading because of the way last Thursday's rehearsal went--we didn't even get through one whole rep of the show because of so many bad things that happened. We have sooo much to clean, and we take that with a grain of salt thanks to Homecoming last week (the only thing we did with the show stuff was on Thursday, and you know how that went). The game actually went really well; our team beat the other 59-0 and the band got to do a lot of dancing in the stands. It was fun.
Wednesday is my day to work on homework and virtual school work, which obviously means I will be getting on here.
Thursday is regiment rehearsal again.
Friday is senior night, and our last football game (I think?) of the regular season. Based on what I've heard about the other team, it's going to be as much of a slaughter-fest as the Homecoming game was.
Saturday is a competition, which we're really not ready for. I doubt my ability to be online at all that day, unless I get my phone fixed.
Sunday is.....just like every Sunday. Church and music lessons, grocery shopping, then on to whatever homework I didn't do on Saturday.
Even though my schedule this week is among the busier schedules I get weekly, it still makes me doubt my ability to return to Cantr when it's back up, being able to stay consistent and consistently awake enough with my characters. Which for a large fraction of them is pretty important. But real life takes precedent over everything else. I'll try to let you know on the forums before I go inactive, but that can't always happen.
Meh.....

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
The boyfriend convinced me to try LOTRO on Thursday and I played all through the weekend instead of doing some rather important school things, one of which was for a group project. I don't even know what's going on this week because I haven't filled out my big dry-erase calendar for November. I do know that there are at least two tests and one paper, but potentially three tests and two papers. I am unconcerned (probably not the best attitude, but it lets me sleep at night and keeps my GPA decent).

My microscope hates me! What was a fun new toy has become an obnoxious and naughty child whom I scold often. I'm in the process of naming him (yes, him!) (And yes I know it's probably me at fault and I'm taking it out on an innocent, inannimate object, but I can't help myself.)

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I hate meetings where the meeting moderator have close to no skill at all driving a meeting, comes unprepared (so we have to sit and wait for the boot up of the laptop, making the projector work, open up all the required presentations and whatnot), speaks before he/she thinks, repeats him-/herself and don't do anything at all to not make people fall asleep. The freaking nut couldn't even end the meeting properly. Everyone was chit-chatting for like five minutes, then I asked if the meeting was over, and Yes, it was. *facepalms*

Snickiedoo, what is "Regiment rehearsal"?
Last night was the first night in my 15 years of riding citizen's patrol (once every 7 weeks or so) that I've done it on Halloween. Usually, we have cartop lights proclaiming who we are, but last night we were in "stealth mode" to avoid being targets for eggs, etc. But I'm very happy to report that right at the end of our shift, I was able to assist a woman in changing her tire. It was actually kind of cool that when I called it in, three different cars from different cooperating agencies descended upon us to change the tire, direct traffic around, etc.
"Dear Diary,
Week 7 of cantr withdrawal. The little green smley-faced men have stopped drilling into my arm with their derrick. They have switched to jackhammers. My doctors said that the shock therapy should make them go away...."

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I hate our health care system. So I dislocated my knee 4 years ago. Never really bothered me much since then. When it rained hard it ached a little. But last week I was stepping off a step that was a bit steep dislocated then landed on it slamming it back in. And in doing that I am sure I hurt it very bad. So now I am limping around in a knee stabelizer and I know I cant afford what I need and thats Knee surgery because it costs and arm and a leg and thats the only thing that will help me..But hey if Palin runs and wins in 2012 I will be moving to France so they can fix it. I know french and my College room mate lives there. Urg this really is painful. Any ideas other then pain pills, booze or ice?

I've used horse liniment with good results. In the US there's one manufacturer that has human and horse lines of liniments. Check http://www.absorbinejr.com/index.html

What our band director calls marching band rehearsal. It usually entails us going outside and tearing up the football field by running reps (repeats) of our show over and over again.

My band director created a drumline cadence to this song. The cadence is awesome; the song itself is annoying, but it's funny in that it's-so-stupid-it's-funny way..

The text-based thing made me think of Cantr.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
This isn't a rant.... it's a rave.
1. Today is Melbourne Cup Day - the horse race that stops a nation. I put some money into our work sweepstakes and I WON! Yipeee. I drew the horse that went on to win the race. *Does a happy dance as taught by Sunni*
2. Driving to work at a snail pace along the freeway a car zipped up along the emergency lane, overtaking all us law abiding patient people. The car suddenly jumped into the traffic a car ahead of me and I then noticed a police car further up in the bushes beside the river. The police officer stepped out and the naughty car changed lanes to the middle. The police officer waded through traffic and pointed to the correct car and then pointed to the emergency lane. I did a dance in my car! I was clapping and cheering as were other drivers. The smiling police officer turned and faced us and took a bow, dramatically with one arm outswept and the other tucked in so we all cheered louder. My hero.

I love when justice is served on people like that. I'm constantly saying "where's a cop when you need one???"

I got to go home early since I was feeling chilly. Then I came home and slept for a couple of hours. Now the fever is up to 38.9 C (102 F) and I'm still feeling chilly.
Also I watched that techno link and I had heard it before, I just didn't know it was from there.
