I'm all for getting an Ad of facebook, although I'm not sure if I want mass farmville zombie newspawns showing up in my towns.
But as for the funds, why don't we hold a specific sort of internet bake sale or something? Instead of the usual "donate", an extra urging so we can pay for a facebook ad.
I mean, everyone's been complaining how dead it is lately. It's like regular towns, trying to draw tourists or something. It really only benefits us, the player.
Also, side note: want to thank you for not plastering ads all over the player page. It doesn't bother me overmuch, but Cantr is my main vice, and it being text-based I can usually get it to load happily fast because it's not screaming trying to load java google ad junk.

It's nice, but it doesn't make much sense to me, and probably even less to other people. Does anyone have other ideas for text?

we could use the most attractive pictures from the "What do Cantrians look like?" thread and then be like "Come play with me!"
or have our very own players model for the picture and maybe caption it "Wanna play with me?" and then have the text be like "All characters in Cantr are real people."
OOOOH. Even better. Use the pics from the character image thread, only with the caption, "Wanna play me?" and then the text can be all "Be creative and crap." I didn't really think of a good text line for that one. But come on, I can't come up with all the ideas.
