SO my ex tried to take back the xbox she got me for Xmas. It's like I am in the middle of Fallout New Vegas played it for like an hour..so got not far and she storms in trying to grab it I was like fuck no bitch! This my Xbox! So my Roommate walks in to see her wailing on me with my own controller and me slapping her with a newspaper I grabbed from the table...He flicked the lights on and off like grade chool and kicked her crazy ass out.

I have about an hour and a half to finish this essay, which should be plenty of time but isn't because the words just aren't coming.

And then he had to start in with his passive-aggressive BS and now I'm sitting here angry and thinking about fucking relationship drama instead of working on the be-damned paper. Seriously, all I can think about is how we could possibly divide up our stuff if we were to break up because every time he does this it pushes me closer to the conclusion that there's only one solution to this problem so that I won't be making him so ridiculously unhappy all the godsfuckingdamned time. Deep breaths. If I don't calm down, I'm going to storm in there and do something rash and that would not be conducive to finishing the paper. Cursed impulsiveness.

(The games and game systems would be easy enough to sort out, but the books would be a bitch. And then there'd be the problem of at least one of my friends thinking he'd have to choose sides because he uses the boyfriend for gaming purposes even though he should know that I'm not like that.)

I feel sick. IfeelsickIfeelsickIfeelsick. Calmcalmcalm. Paperpaperpaper.

Dammit. I get cold when I get upset and now I can't stop shivering. Should've just left it alone.

It seems like I can only write essays quickly, or do other type of homework quickly, when I don't have much time left to do it. It's amazing what can be done 10 minutes. The power of procrastination.
Snickiedoo wrote:Speaking of pronunciation, how do you pronounce "Klojt"? When I saw it the first time, I was like, "kloyt?", and since then it's somehow evolved into "Klo-jit" and I have no idea which is right. lol.....

I actually pronounce "Klojt" as "Klot," but I can understand why it would be pronounced differently.
I kind of like the word Ladvicitavoi, because even though I've never had a character there for long, over time I've learned how to spell it and say it. Cantr, Doryiskom, Knatr (for me, Nat-er), Longinazy, Quillanoi, Hilloi, Sjoftich, Kiii, Zuzi, Jakara, Krif, Jakara, Kwor, Karnon, Snavirn, wait, this list is getting too big. Anyway, I like these words.

Although I'm still kind of trying to learn Spanish, my current college doesn't even have advanced Spanish classes, but it isn't my major, and I failed the AP Spanish test (you have to be able to hear it *sigh*), but I may do something with it again later in college, because I really want to learn it, and I can probably test out of something.

I'm like that too a lot of the time. Hell, I'm like that all the time. I attempted to start that freaking essay on Saturday and still only finished it about forty-five minutes before class started. I have terrible study habits and procrastinate excessively, but somehow I manage to maintain a decent GPA, so I guess it all works out.

On an unrelated note: I shambled out of former roomie's care this morning, muttering "I am a zombie" over and over again while stumbling drunkenly across the Quad (toward the wrong building, but on purpose because it somehow seemed like a better idea). Then I panicked, wondering what would happen if I was actually a zombie and decided that I would probably attack the cop to the left of me so I could nom his brain and that I would probably remain relatively well-fed on this campus for some unknown reason that definitely made sense at the time. Then I had a brief coherent period in which I finished and printed my paper, by which time the sun had started to come up. Walking out of the building, I panicked again because I thought that zombies burned up in the sunlight.

Dear Hacker,

Please stop spamming my Facebook wall with messages saying I just traded my iPhone 3GS for an iPhone 4. I understand that this is great news to you, but you don't have to say it a million times as you've already done. Nobody sincerely cares. And nobody is going to care.

Yes, I understand that the world would've died if you hadn't informed us of that. However, there is a such thing as "too much of a good thing." Your conveying of this message has reached this point. The world is receiving an overdose of good news from you. Honestly, if it happens again, the world will likely go into apocalypse.

So we'd all seriously appreciate it if you would stop spamming my wall and not cause the world to go into apocalypse. :)

Love,
Snickie

P.S. I do not own an iPhone. I have a Droid. There is a huge difference. Droids pwn iPhones.

Was that one of those "open letter" kind of things?

Joshua: If you are going for an A.S. in college (just a means to an end I know), I don't think there is a language requirement as the classes are more targeted towards your chosen major. If you are going for an AA, then there is a language requirement, or at least there was 20yrs ago. (My word! Am I really getting that old???).

Unless you know without a shadow of a doubt about your chosen profession, I tend to recommend the AA. The reason being that if you ever decide to change professions as life goes on, you are halfway to nearly all BA degree's. If you had an A.S before you changed, you might have to take all those silly freshman courses at an advanced age. They are valid classes, but mostly dealing with the Liberal Arts kind of stuff...great to talk about at parties or on a forum like this; but not particularly valuable in the job market unless you are really, really good. Alot of people competing over not alot of jobs, you really gotta stand out. No offense intended to anyone here who is liberal arts educated, I think they/you are as smart as anyone out there, there just ain't a ton of jobs for that degree.

Once again Joshua....good luck. If you are smart enough to play this game (had my cup of ego this morning!) and be a volunteer on top of that, you will do fine. Sí, se puede!

Considering the fact that I don't know what AA or AS means, you lost me. I tried looking it up too and found some stuff about associate's degree and bachelor's degree, which I still don't quite understand.
This is my current plan:

AA and AS are different types of associates' degrees. AS is a degree where the classes concentrate on your major and the job you plan to do after graduating, whereas an AA degree you earn after taking all of the drudgery of core academic courses such as mathematics, English, humanities, et cetera.

I want to graduate high school with an AA degree, but I'm not sure whether or not I'm staying in-state for college, and I can't drive yet anyway: the two main reasons I'm not dual-enrolling right now. So instead I am taking AP classes. They're at the school, and the scores are generally accepted at colleges everywhere. For example, to get a biology credit at Stetson University, I needed to have scored at least a 3 on the AP test (or take and pass the course at the college), and I scored a 4 on the AP test. The acceptance level varies by the college, but never drops below 3. For example, I scored a 3 on the Human Geography AP exam, but Stetson University requires you to have scored a 4 or higher in order for that credit to be counted at that college.

Snick pretty much captured it.

AA= Associate of the Arts

AS=Associate of the Science (not sure about the word 'the')

BA= Bachelor of the Arts

BS= what the hacker did to all of us. It might mean something else, but lets not get off topic. :?

Okay, so before you get a Bachelor's degree, you get an Associates degree? It doesn't seem like what you said effects what classes I'll be taking, since I already know what classes I have to take. Thanks for the information though.

Edit: I took a look at BYU's website and indeed they do not offer Associate Degrees.

Not really. At the end of a four year college program immediately after High School, you'll leave with a bachelor's degree.

Associate's degrees are typically 2-year degrees (or shorter) for people that either a) want to enter the work force ASAP with some professional skills, b) professionals that want to get more education for their jobs, c) people like Snick that seem to want to finish her bachelor's early (so she'd take an associate's classes at the same time as her normal schooling so she can transfer more credits over when she goes to college.

Snick - cost aside, college will most likely be the best 4 years of your life. Don't be in a hurry to get it over with (unless you're gonna be double majoring, then transferring in the credits will free up your schedule).

At least through AP tests, I think freeing up your schedule is generally a good idea. I managed to test out of general English, and I wish I had passed out of more, so that I can take other classes instead, and maybe somehow get a minor or something in Spanish (maybe if I can fit in 24 hours somewhere..(and test out of the 1's and 2's)).
I definitely wouldn't go for less than four years though. And yes it's nice! You learn much. :D
