Re: Character images
Since Sylvie's been "rendered" now by three different people, I'd really be interested to get Meem's take on her (if you want to). I really envy everyone's talents.

Okay, I was fed up with drawing ninjas so I decided to have a try, too. Unfortunately I don't know the lady personally, so bear with my inaccuracies.

Re: Character images

She is albino, her chin-length hair being snow-white and her iris as red as blood. She has a small, child-like frame, slight and nearly flat chested. She is short, standing only about 5 feet (1.6m) tall. Her face is petite, with a small nose and mouth, and a slightly pointed chin. If you stare at her eyes, they occasionally move erratically back and forth, involuntarily (nystagmus).
Hah, I actually got my image of her wrong.

Re: Character images
Hah, nicely done to think of the nystagmus.
I guess it's no cooincidence either she seems to wear glasses today (which I forgot to include).
I think I got the face more or less right (I took raspberrytea's image as a guideline and made it a little broader and rounder to be closer to Doug's), but I guess my own interpretation of an albino character got mixed in with the hair (since a very bright blondish seems more realistic than snow white) and the eyes, which have a slight blueish tint.

Re: Character images

Hmm this is my first photo upload so I may have to resize or something... Not sure how these things work!
This is one of mine, not very well known at all, but a couple of people I expect will recognise her. In the absence of Cantr, I did start spending more time on SL and Doug's post made me try this. This isn't how my avi actually looks (except the eyes) so I had to play around a lot with the shape, hair etc... Which was fun.

Nice. I really need to get some custom skins and stuff, instead of using the default editor.

Re: Character images
That is awesome, Chroma.
Well, I finally got around to dragging the monitor out of my closet, and got on to Second Life. And everything's great....other than the fact that I cannot edit the hair for some odd reason. And thus I haven't been able to make my characters as I want them right now. I have the body shapes, eye colours, skin colours, et cetera for two of my characters done, but since I can't edit the hair (and I have no idea why; I was talking to a helper person about it earlier today), I can't post it here since it wouldn't be accurate. So any help with that will be great; I'm not too hard to find (I'm in the freebie market, and my name there makes it obvious it's me
), or you can post here or PM me or....something.
I also recently attempted to draw Snick with pen, with the intention of shading everything using crosshatching and stipple, and she turned out looking like a leper with really bad facial proportions (one of my weak spots is facial proportions). So needless to say, it's not going to appear here either. I'm attempting it again with graphite pencil, but so far it's not working so well, although it's far better than the pen drawing.

Re: Character images
Are you joking? That's a raccoon, and I think it's alive. There are no foxes in Cantr unless Doug added them.

Re: Character images
yip, red panda, and they always look like they're smiling, cute playful chaps
this started as a sketch for another of my 'animal' series, but before I noticed I was already so far that I really don't feel like redoing it.
also it's the very first time, I think, when I got both eyes somewhere near acceptable positions on first try

Re: Character images
Here's a much improved version (I increased the image resolution - I think my laptop's graphic card is going to burn up). I picked up some custom hair and had to change the texture to white. I guess the way the texture is stretched caused the odd whiter under-layer. I also found a smile that didn't look terrible. The picture on the right is how she feels right now.
