They're after us....

Edit: They're initiating their plans here in Florida.

step one: Make it cold enough to where nobody wants to get out of bed for anything. When Cantr comes back up, people will realise what they're missing and thus a) move their computers/laptops to next to their beds and/or b) purchase phones with unlimited data plans.

I have such a phone, mostly because our Internet doesn't reach that far across the house to my bedroom.

I complain because (and I know y'all are going to laugh hysterically at me and my wimpiness) it is 60°F this morning. We had the heat on in the car this morning, and there are people whining about how cold it is.

I hate being sick! I've been in bed since yesterday with high fever, and I've probably slept more these two days than I did the last two whole weeks before that.

I went to the doctors a while ago, and almost fainted when walking up a set of stairs. :P

When I got home I fell over on the bed w/o even taking off my jacket or dropping the bag of medicine, and slept for an hour straight.

Done. Oh, wait... Not having kids. :P

Thanks, Echoman! We love you, get better soon (but keep working on Cantr. You can do that in bed. Just conserve your energy so you can type and use the mouse).

I stayed home sick today, too. Went to an awesome concert last night and didn't get home until 0130. Then couldn't sleep because I drank ridiculous amounts of caffeine in order to drive the 3.5 hours home after the show. It was worth it.

…I am my dad's first and only child, and he's probably reading this right now. Does he have to give up my soul? =o

I'm doing my best. Sleeping/resting a lot, eating my prescribed pills and drinking a lot of water and vitamin C shots. Still having fever and feeling rather knocked out, but I think it's getting better.

RotD: Daytime TV sucks rather immensly.

Several times I've thought what if I died under unusual circumstances so that CSI would search my apartment, and what sort of conclusions they would draw based on stuff they found here. Would they think somebody may have been rummaging through the place searching for something since there's such a mess?

The thought of what my family will have to go through/see when they clear out my house is more frightening than the thought of actually dying. Sadly, that's my biggest motivation to start cleaning and getting rid of junk.

I'm not exactly looking forward to that.

…My bus missed our turn. So now we're driving across town looking for a place to turn around.
I so cannot wait until I can drive.

Doesn't two first right turns normally sort that kind of problem out?

I hate having to go to work when I'm not feeling well yet. :(

Well considering "around town" meant around a lake on a tiny two-lane road and the lake was to our right, there were no right turns to be made.
No, our town is not so small that it sits around a lake on a tiny two-lane road; that's just where the bus happened to be headed when they missed our turn.

Eventually the road veered away from the lake, though, and we eventually found a street that led to the road we were SUPPOSED to be on. There were a few stops on that road, so I still got to my stop in a fairly timely manner.

Still wish I could drive, though.

Bottom to top.

2010.06.10 03:26 EDT: EchoMan says: "I hate having to go to work when I'm not feeling well yet. *frowns*"

We just lost power in our house and on the street, and when we got half of the windows in our house open (it feels really nice outside with a chilly breeze from the north), it came back on. Was that a coincidental bout of bad timing, or is Murphy taunting me?

Edit: *doesn't want to double-post*

Here in Florida, it's uncommon for it to be cold very early in the autumn; it usually doesn't get below 60°F until November at the earliest, and even in February it's not often the temperature gets to or below 35°F (although it does happen a few nights each year). Needless to say, we have very little resistance to cold temperatures.

So anyways, this is what happened this morning.

Outdoor thermostat: 53°F
Me: "Screw this." *wears shorts, tank top and hoodie with sleeves rolled up*
(The hoodie was just so I'd still be in dress code, and I didn't feel like wearing a T-shirt.)

At school
Everyone else: "It's so cold!"
Me: "Wimps."

Temperatures here have been seriously fluctuating (well, more than they usually do) in the past week. Usually in the summer it ranges from 76°F to 97°F (23 degree range), and in February it ranges 37°F to 60°F (23 degree range). This week it has been 52°F through 86°F (34 degree range).

…I just needed something to rant about. It's not really important. But I've been noticing it more since everyone wears sweaters in the mornings claiming it's freezing, and then complain about the heat by around 2:30. Thankfully, I'm not one of those people. But I digress.

Florida people are wimps when it comes to the cold. Can you tell?
I remember last year when one day the temperature didn't get higher than 38°F (2 or 3°C). It snowed that day (just flurries, but it was still snow!) and everybody freaked out because it was snowing. And apparently somebody over near Pensacola near the Florida/Alabama state line built a snowman on the Florida side. It was on Fox News.

……and that concludes my random rambling about the weather for now.

OMG! Bring cantr back so we don't have to listen to any more reports of Florida's weather from Snick!
