Hopefully people will leave the stuff alone. The death events are removed, so that the characters didn't really die IC.

Taking advantage of the situation may be using OOC information, depending on where and how it happens.

We`re getting ready for the game to to be unlocked. Dynamic naming of people and locations can be added in at a later time. Death notices have been deleted, characters revived, skills replaced as best we can, and items returned if the players replied. Items of players that did not respond will remain on the ground. Thank you again for your patience.

I like this! I like this lots!
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

If I were a thief character, logged on first and sailed away with anything not locked down, I can see that as being a bit unfair. I live there and am not planning on swiping it all.

Are we leaving things laying around so people can claim their pre-death booty or are we going on with Cantr Life and what happens happens?

Some people have suggested that leftover stuff should automatically be given to the councilor but somehow I just feel Cantr isn't supposed to work that way. Why should things be secure and orderly after a disaster that touched almost 90% of a town's populace? You could imagine it as an earthquake that made people drop things, or a leak of poisonous gasses that made almost everybody pass out (that would be a good explanation to the amnesia as well). Hopefully who ever comes to first will be a good person and secure things so that they can't get stolen, but it might also be for example a random newspawn thief. Still I think that even if there was a thief, the active people would be able to catch him eventually. And also a few people are going to remain dead, I wouldn't be able to tell what they were carrying.

Thank you, that is the answer I wanted to hear and because I liked your answer better than Echoman's, you are now encouraged to take a break from this project, flip the Cantr on-switch, and pay some attention to Wichita while he is still in the country.

With all this Cantr downage I've been hearing about, I decided now was a good time to return with 2 characters...just for a brief while to see where things have developed since...1697, or 620 for that matter.

I know you're working on it but I'm very impatient. When will Cantr be up again?

Whenever there is a crisis in my life (a few lately  ), and I need a breather from everything, including Cantr; the game goes down. This is the fourth time now... It's so funny (well, maybe not) and yeah, a coincidence but next time I'm going through some more crap, I won't be surprised to see the game locked/down/missing/hacked etc...
It's a mixed blessing, I tell you.

Already been stated in the thread: Cantr not working? Check here first.
The game will not be unlocked until tomorrow at the earliest.

Which is found here: http://forum.cantr.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17376&start=120
