It must be true. Mike Portnoy published a note on Facebook and apparently twitted about it, too. Sorry can't give any links right now as I'm on mobile but a simple search should do it.
I don't know what to think about it, I don't think it's quite sunk in for me, yet.

It's good for me I like most of his side projects too then. ;) But anyway, DT will never be the same, no matter what drummer they take in.

Japanese keyboard fail. Guh.

Also would be nice if my other suitcase got delivered soon. I really should have set a time instead of being all "ahh, whenever, it doesn`t matter" when I was sending it.

I as a player am getting highly pissed at the amount of BS that is going on in towns. Several times in the last week or so I have had to move good strong chars from places that if the town would spend a little time meeting them or the ones with them instead of trying to step on their necks to change them would have gotten nice people with maybe a quirk or two. The point of the game is to be able to play. Im sick of being told and watching others be told to shut up. I see newspawns being put into rooms with noone around them to work, ignored when asked to be citizens, my chars are feeding newspawns in towns they dont even live in, then suddenly looked down upon when they offer to take the newspawn with them. Then I hear noone is playing ...where is everyone? Every single char has someone on the other end trying to play it. Us as players are creating our own problems. Im not saying every single char should be allowed to do whatever they heck they want, but some of this is just plan stupid. I have watched groups of people piling out of large towns because they are mistreated by one or two and since they are older chars this is allowed by the group. More than half my chars are traveling looking for a place to live or to a point where death would be better than me pounding out crap on my keyboard. I try to make all my chars interesting for the ones around them, if they are mean, nice, sorry sods, or just plain goofy. Waking up to say something shitty and then not bothering to respond again until that char has something shitty to say again makes me say...hey FU I can move on and rp with someone else. Everyone of my chars speak at least once a day trying to leave something for someone else to respond to.

There are chars that cuss, pick their nose, hell even pick thier mates nose , this is what makes the game interesting. And that is my rant maybe for the whole dang month.

I agree people are too bad at welcoming newspawns. I think one reason may be of all the powergamers who just ignore their weak characters and leave them to starve. Because there are so many of this type of newspawns, it gets really annoying to try to activate all the newspawns in a town. But when a newspawn is actively trying to be a part of the society, it's a dang shame if none of the town elders welcome them and make them feel valued. It's pure bad on the players, more than the characters though.

Yes. :P

MM, some chars just aren't a good fit in some towns. I have a char who is largely ignored because its personality is nearly opposite of the rest of the town. I've considered moving the char, but may keep it in that town just to throw a wrench in their smooth-running machine - but that takes a lot of effort and sometimes I just don't feel up to being the odd cog all the time.

Tension between chars can make things interesting but I think people get tired of the "drama" after awhile and separate the chars either by moving or death.

(Darn, I was beat to it.)

(Please don't kill my charries now for that.)

If I were a powergamer, my most powerful character (in terms of skills and such) might have actually travelled by now, instead of staying holed up in the tiny, fairly primitive, three-person town that's she's in. Two of my characters would be dead (Snick, and the other one Arenti knows). Another one of mine would be dead because the way I spawned her makes her a pain to roleplay, and the only thing that would've kept her alive would be her strength. The other four I have would probably stay as they are, except they wouldn't be as much fun to interact with probably.

I'm nice to newspawns, though, unless they annoy me first. Like, my Fu Island character is too nice to ignore newspawns. Over four days ago, one appeared and my char gave her a shield, bone spear, and a dress that my char happened to be carrying. Couldn't spare any food, though. My Hofran character indulged in a male newspawn's request for a feathery skirt. Snick always greets them when they spawn, but never introduces herself. I've been lucky so far, though, in that my newspawns have always been greeted fairly, and I like to offer the same courtesy with all of my characters.

Tonight I'm going to help my sister in the town's fair. We're going to serve a lot of food and drinks, and.... yeah.... I'm planing on drinking lots of mojitos at the stand next to hers!!!
