Best imagery ever. My friends regularly pretend to eat each other (I'm not really sure why), so now I'm just picturing a bunch of people I went to high school with being all like OM NOM NOM.

Rant: Not living on campus is leaving me with little time for Cantr, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I just got home fifteen minutes ago and I need to be drugged up and in bed in about two and a half hours. Granted, today was sort of a special circumstance, but still. *grumble* On the plus side, it rained really hard for the first half of the day and I got soaked twice. :D

You know very well what I meant by that. (Or, at least, I hope you know.)
But that's funny to imagine. Sure beats the doom and gloom I heard today about it during marching rehearsal tonight.

RoTD - I go to the forum and read things about people eating each others faces off.

I understood it in the OP, but now, its just weird. For some strange reason, I was flashed over to Joo's Skeleton Jelly cartoon. Keep this up and you are all going to have to pitch in for my therapists cookie jar.

Something else about eating...hmmmm. I had better make that appointment soon.

3-ft-deep lakes on the road (more specifically, the road you have to take to get home) seem pretty awesome in retrospect, and only when you didn't end up joining the other stalled car right in the middle of one. That would have been one terrible walk home.

But yeah, awesome tropical storm. I like rain.

Yes, but mine is way better!

I used to plan slow, painful deaths for the people that blocked hallways for any reason. I went to a small school with small hallways, but luckily people generally kept the hardcore facenomming for when they were lingering in the courtyard or over by the band hall. Which is really amazing now that I think about it because it was a ghetto little school in a don't-blink-or-you'll-miss-it little town and few rules were actually enforced. (I sound bitter but I swear I'm not. My high school experience was overall positive.)

This. Except that the drive to school this morning at 6 AM was kind of scary, especially where they're doing construction on I-35. We couldn't see the lines on the road.

*blinks* I-35? Heck, we're neighbors, the three of us!

Loving the rain. Got my window open right now, listening to it.

Yeah... hallways... I work in a hospital, and the corridors are plenty wide -- wide enough to let through wheelchairs, gurneys with crash teams, etc. They comfortably fit five abreast... and yet... and yet.. there is always some group of five people walking abreast, not allowing anyone to come down the other way.

And THEN, there are the people who don't actually look in the direction they are walking. I estimate I get walked into, or nearly so, by three people almost every day. How hard is it to actually look in the direction you are going, especially around corners??

I felt much the same way. I hit this intersection going fifty and then, turns out, drove straight into a pool. I was going fifty and then I just wasn't going at all v.v Any other time woulda been awesome but it woulda been far more comfortable if I'd been able to actually see that this road was flooded before ending up in the middle of it. Had I know about the flooding (and been thinking clearly that this area often does that) I could taken I-35 and saved me the trouble/slight scare of having turned my car into a boat.

True, though. Once I made it home and not dead I thought of driving back to play in that large pool of water. damn the traffic xD

Unless primitive humans at all times carried knifes pointed against incoming people, walking into anyone was not a deleterious trait.

Funny thing: last week I had the impression that everyone was walking into me. This may sound biased, but I say people doing hallway maneuvers just to walk into me, like going out of their way mirroing my movements (even though I had the impression that some didn't notice me). I was kind enough to give passage or to avoid a collision, but that was quite a stressing day.

The other day I was going to a grocery store and a guy was coming out, and we both took a step forward and then stopped, took a step back, and I stepped a bit to the side so that he could go past but he smiled very widely and made this very polite wave of the hand that says "you go first" and I thought damn, he sure knows his manners.

Yeah, we were driving almost in the middle of the night on Mopac and everything just looked like a blurry mess. No idea where the lines were.

It wasn't that bad until we got off and onto a much smaller winding road through the countryside, though. That road-pond was still lingering when were were driving around this morning; apparently there were 2-3 cars stranded just in that small area.

The giant pool of water made me wish I had time to build another cardboard boat. I'm sure the water levels are perfect now. D:

Miserable driving when the lines aren't visible. v.v It was a little terrifying, I didn't know if I'd gone over one lane or somehow managed to cross over both lanes of 35.

All of my road ponds were dry by the time I left this morning, despite super thunderstorm all night. Lucky break. Just hoping like hell it doesn't storm again tomorrow morning, that would be horrible.

Cardboard boat? Hrm, we must get together and make these. We can go sail them! lol
