My dreams are mostly about me fighting against a large group of bad people and saving people. Often with the help of a few others.

Has anybody besides me had that reoccurring nightmare where they show up to some important event without at least one important piece of clothing?

It was always pants in mine, so I would tie my sweater around my waist, and it would keep falling down so I'd constantly be adjusting it.

Oh, looks like I didn't post here about that dream I had recently, last week or so. I just told Josh about it. It was pretty complicated. I was in a hamburger joint and there was a security guard who was having trouble with some teenagers, and then he looked at me tiredly and said "Don't you have a skirt or something you could put on?" and then I realized I had taken my pants off for some reason. I often take my pants off when I come home and sit around in my panties or even naked, but never in public! Okay, back to the dream. Of course I started putting my pants on, feeling very embarrassed. Then I overheard them saying they were running out of hamburgers, they only had hot dogs left. I thought to myself "I don't want a hot dog!" so I walked out of there without buying anything. I went to a bus but it was having trouble from a drunken teenager, probably one that was outside the bus or trying to get in, I can't remember anymore. Anyway, it was delaying the bus and I was hungry so I went back to the hamburger joint, or it looked like a different place at that point, and they also had donuts, and at first I was going to buy one with lemon, but then I ended up wanting one with chocolate instead since the lemon could be too sweet, and instead of giving me one, the clerk said I could take it myself, and when I took a plate, she said not from there, from the other pile (there were only like two plates there but they were closer to where I was standing) and when I took a plate from the other pile, the first one had stains on it so I discarded it and took another one. Then I was suddenly on the other side of the counter, fishing out a hot dog bun and putting it on top of my donut. Then I thought "what am I doing? I don't want a hot dog!" and then I put it back, hoping no one would notice. It was also broken from when I tried to open it. The memory is probably caused by stressing about opening hot dog buns at work, it's hard to tell which side has the opening but they're more likely to rip if you try opening it from the wrong side.

Alright, okay, Seko, you win.

But I am still running for second place!

Okay, so. This is another dream I had back in June. There was something early on about these space things or whatever, and I was forced to go into a ton of these centripetal force things. Eventually I ran off and found myself in some kind of medicinal clinic. Many minutes into that, I was discovered and told that my father had ordered me to marry that evening. So I was taken home (although it was actually the home I was born in and not the one I live in now) and was shown the rings me and my groom were to wear. ThenI had to choose my groom, and I refused to get ready until I had. The two guys there waiting for me to choose from I knew from school; here I will name them Alex and Jake. Alex, for some reason, wasn't exactly being gentle that afternoon (he threw a book down on the floor for some reason), but Jake was sitting there joking around. So my mom and I were discussing the qualities of the two of them. Then I asked again if I absolutely had to get married that night, and the answer was a pointed "Yes." Then I found Jake, and we sort of hugged as awkwardly as it could get seeing that I was taller than him, and we almost kissed...and I announced that I had to get ready. "Getting ready" for me consisted of hastily putting on a simple white dress on, and then I was rushed to the hallway. I marched out with my mom to an empty groom-place. A glance towards Jake signalled him that he was the guy I'd chosen, and he hastily ran up, wearing jeans, a black jacket, and black Vans skateboarding shoes. I remember almost nothing of the formal ceremony (I don't even think we had one). Jake reached behind him and grabbed the two rings. He fitted the one I had liked best (the one with a ton of amethysts arranged in some kind of circle thing on my finger, and the priest gave the announcement that "You may now kiss the bride." And so we kissed, and I'd told him as we walked towards a hastily set-up reception that there was to be no sex until we were out of high school, which he agreed to. And then I woke up.

Still trying to figure out the meaning behind that one. *scratches head*
I don't even like them that way IRL.

Sadly, this is something I would have an argument over in real life. One of the biggest fights I ever had with my closest friend (and we've only really had 2 "fights" over the many years of our friendship) was because we were arguing about what the proper fluffiness and consistency for bread should be.

Sort of. I've had two types of recurring dreams:

1) When I was young, I dreamed of tornadoes almost every single night. Tornadoes while I was at my mother's restaurant, tornadoes in big cities and running from the fires they caused, tornadoes destroying my house and causing floods... I've since been told that dreaming of tornadoes is a sign of a lot of stress in your life.

2) In the more recent years, I've started having a lot of dreams about transportation. Arriving late and almost missing a Very Important Bus Ride, taking a SkyTrain that then ends up falling off its tracks, and a lot of dreams about taking plane rides and accidentally ending up in the wrong place. And there are always crazy things happening on the actual vehicle, like how the so-called 'SkyTrain' had a wall missing and was really just an elevator running sideways on SkyTrain tracks.

Actually, reading all of the dreams posted here is starting to make me worry about my subconscious. :(

I used to argue with my best friend on the proper way to make a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich (and I didn't even care for them all that much). Bread by itself would be a worthy debate.

Most of my dreams are too twisted/complicated to even describe here. Usually driven by feelings that I can't explain and switch from one scenario to another rapidly. I used to have sequential dreams just before a big decision or major event in my life, though, and I firmly believe that we can "dream the future" and that deja vu is often something we've dreamt ahead of it actually happening. Add me to your list of crazies...but I distinctly remember dreaming something once that kept nagging at me the entire day following the dream until the scene played out before my eyes - I spent the rest of the day in a daze, because I KNEW I'd dreamt that the night before.

One I do recall is that just before making the decision to join the military, I kept having dreams about a great horned owl. It first appeared as a small owl in the tree of my childhood home. Each time I dreamt about this owl it became bigger until it was just a giant eyeball that took up the entire view of the window. It was around that time I signed the paperwork and committed to the Air Force and the dreams stopped. Afterward I discussed it with my friend's mom who is really into dreams and she said owls related to decisions. *shrugs*

Oh, and I remember a childhood nightmare I used to have fairly often: There was a "spirit" my family was hiding from (the boogy man sorta thing). We would hide in the buttons of my sister's robe and sometimes my parents would hide in these cabinets but he always found them there; occasionally I'd try to warn them to hide in the buttons instead but couldn't speak. I usually woke up whenever this black cloud of the boogy man came into view, freaking out and too scared to call out for help.

I had a really bad night's sleep last night, so remember snippets of a lot of dreams. Mostly I remember they were very long and nonsensical. The segment I remember the most about involved watching people falling into a quick-sand like liquid akin to the pink breathing fluid in the movie The Abyss. Others jumped in after them and rescued them like Wesley saved Buttercup in the Princess Bride. Then Betty White falls in, so I jump in after her. Except I can breathe in this material (I often dream that I can breathe underwater or that I'm an avid smoker). I grab Betty White with one hand, and then notice all the possessions of people that have fallen in and died before, mostly composed of laundry detergents. I grab as many of these detergent bottles as I can before surfacing.

While I don't remember the plot of any of my other dreams, I remember people or objects associated with them:

-A hobbit's hole, submerged underwater in a flood.
-Starwars Stormtroopers...OH! The Stormtroopers were trapped in the quicksand.
-a boat that responded to voice commands.

Hmm, I see a water theme here.

I also had a cantr related dream.

Hot dogs and donuts and you without your pants? Hmmm... Well, Freud did say "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar", but..... Seko, stop corrupting the morals of the minors online...

Was this a typo, or did he actually say that in the dream?

Three themes seem to recur in my dreams:
1) Finding hidden spaces in familiar places
2) Losing my teeth
3) Seeing a network of lines, usually disguised in some form, like a subway map.

gejyspa, sounds like your imagination is dirtier than mine since I never thought about the hot dogs and donuts that way.

I also noticed the ride instead of bride thing and was curious but didn't ask.

I've also had dreams where my teeth become wobbly and come off. I've read that it's a symbol for feeling like you've lost control of your life. The same probably goes for riding a car or another vehicle that's missing breaks, or riding an elevator that just goes through the ceiling and continues rising into space.

Sorry about that! Yes, it was a typo.

I often have those dreams where I'm underwater or something and can breathe. It freaks me out at first, but then I'm like, "Oh, I can breathe this...?"
Usually it's when I get bored and fall asleep during long car-rides.

I've had the tornado dreams before, but it was usually when we kept a fan in the bedroom for those long hot summer Florida nights before we could afford to run the A/C constantly.

-------------------------------------
The water breathing one is familiar too.
-------------------------------------
What about?:
A train crashing into a wall?
A train plunging through a tunnel?
Waves crashing against a cliff?
Rockets blasting off the launch pad?
Apples?

Yeah...Freudian slip-dreams.
--------------------------------
Missing clothing dreams? been there done that.
-----------------------------------
Then there is this one where the new cast and old cast (during their prime) of the Charlies angels shows and movies meet to have a war to see who is the baddest and bestest (its a word in this dream okay?) and that I have to show up to broker a peace deal between them and they are all very greatful to me and...wait...thats a daydream. Anyways, Angelina shows up with Pia Zadora and Naedell Blackrock and Kayla and...well, this is just getting silly.

I don't usually remember my dreams anymore... :(

Dream well
