It's sad you see things that way.

In most of the places I have characters, my characters are among the few or only active ones. If I'm not awake and moving, no one else is, then people drop their food and starve. I've seen this all over. I enjoy playing about half my characters, but it takes will power to push through the summertime apathy that hits Cantr every year, and I'm honestly out of it. This puts me in a rotten mood, which then makes my characters depressed. I'd rather they just be silent and productive than take my issues out on the town, especially if they have no reason ig to be depressed - but if I do, then people start dying from boredom, because most players won't stubbornly cling to their characters like I do. Being an Admin, I know who's requesting suicides, and I know their reasons. It's a real downer when people contact you asking you to off characters that you depend upon because they're "overextended," or some other stuff like that, threatening to hit the X and kill all their characters if you don't comply. You know they're just bored with them (in most cases - there are some legit requests.)

Sorry, folks. To borrow a military saying, I've been "in the shit" for too long now, and I'm ready to down a case of beer and start shooting up base camp from the back of a stolen hummer. I'd say I need R&R, but it was the R&R that got me this way to begin with. Being without Cantr for days gives you perspective, and that's something you really don't need when you're run-down and have an "easy button".

To those of you suffering through my character's moodiness or sleepiness, I'm sorry, but that's how I'm coping. If you could reciprocate and not kill your characters off, I'd be in your debt. Fun times are just around the corner. I also apologize if this message doesn't make any sense to anyone besides myself. I haven't ranted in a long time, and I needed a good rant.

sad truth. unfortunately

I've had a few characters alone, but the majority of mine alone are alone but surrounded by people... Sadly too, skilled RPers who just give up. I try to keep it going, but some of mine just don't succeed.

Back on topic, I had a character who was spawned in the mountains and started working for this clan thing, but it got too regulated and sleepy so, he left. He spent a long time wandering, in fear of this clan finding him and killing him for deserting. Now he lives in a town which is all too sleepy. He went on a long long resource trip to gather copper with this girl, but they got separated and he spent years looking for her, but didn't even find a body. Another sad part is she had the lions share of copper too, so that made the trip kinda pointless... He got back to the town a moody and stressed man, with no comfort in his friends. It's sleepy, even now.

One more of mine feels alone, surrounded by people, just because of the sheer volume of things that are happening. I don't often have time to deal with all the events surrounding this particular character, and it's sad. I think the town i live in has charries from totally different time zones. Unfortunate.

One more ran an outpost for this town, but it makes things hard cause people who spawn there cannot be arsed to shift the gears, so to speak, and get the town running.

I had one that mostly lived alone most of her life. She was spawned entirely alone... she saw maybe 5 people her whole life. I think she was 71 when she died because I was cutting back on characters.

I have another character that's not seen a person in 20-30 years save one or two. It is 112 now.

There are older characters out there, silly. :P

Just because yours are crazy weirdos that have to be put down doesn't mean anything. ;)

The oldest curently living character spawned in 227. That makes it 140,2 years old.

Seems to be located in the eastern parts of Cantr Island. That's about how specific I'll be on this topic. :)

I don't see why there should be any hint given at all. If this player wants you to know this player can tell it.

I used to have a hermit, and though he managed to get quite a lot accomplished all on his own (building a smelter, making iron, building a lock), he ended up dead-by-animals. It's a hard life out there. :| But that may have been for the better, since I ran out of time to write his stories, and that was really the main reason for him being a hermit in the first place. A Cantr "Walden Pond," you could say.
