Seko, could I possibly have both time series in xls or something? I could try some corelation measures or other data-mining...

The file was left on another computer... but I could run the query again when I find the time for it.

I think we lose the most players after serious down-time. The game never recovered from when it was down for over a month that one time.

"Active" might be difficult to define but 687 players have logged in within 7 days and out of these, 482 have logged in during 3081. There are also 334 "active" accounts that haven't been accessed in over a week. Total 1021. Wow that's low. But if 47% log in daily even though it's a Sunday which are generally slow, that's pretty good.

It's difficult to see much in this picture since there's such a great deal of characters who only speak once a day or twice a day, and there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between different days of the week.

Amount of people that spoke a certain amount of times within a day:

It certainly is low. And that should change. As otherwise chars would spread even more. And all active ones will almost be in different towns. So cantr would become even more quiet. And new players won't keep playing because it's too quiet. And I mean of those players who normally would have stayed.
There is no rule that says I can't post as much I want. I asked my lawyer.

I don't know if this has been done before, but ages of players? What is our marketing target?

First of all, some of the active accounts have invalid year of birth entered, so they would screw up the statistics if not taken into account. Out of active accounts, 13 have birth year 0. 6 apparently have their birth year expressed in two digits instead of four. Two have age instead of a year of birth, unless we have some very senior citizens playing. Then there are three with obviously fake years, one of them being in the future. This leaves 1076 active accounts with birth years that might be legit. Among those there are 50 unique values.

Code: Select all

Decade| Count
------+-----
1940s   6
1950s   12
1960s   46
1970s   149
1980s   439
1990s   424

Average year of birth: 1985.3857

And a more detailed count for the decades where every year is represented.

Thanks!
It looks like 11 would be the youngest then, and I think I found our target age:
1990 95

Many people around this age (20) now are active on computers, I've heard. It looks like there really are lots of college students here, at least college aged.

Can we know how old the oldest still alive characters of individual language groups are? In particular, I want to know if the oldest Spanish character spawned on day 1185.
