I'm also a full-time dad (expecting #2 in June) and an aspiring fantasy writer.

I finished my bachelors from another of the ancient eight which actually made it to the sweet 16 this year and am proceeding to your law school in the fall. :)

No shit? Cool. You'll be the second person there that plays Cantr. That is, if you're not too busy tearing pages out of law books in the library to stymie your classmates.

@Alladinsane - Thanks for the well wishes. The newly expanded family is doing very well.

I'm at Queen's. Founded under the same charter, same sort of idea :P Sister school, even though we're supposed enemies. I'd have liked to go to McGill, but they charge more than DOUBLE tuition to out-of-province students. Tuition wouldn't be a whole not more than here, but I don't feel like supporting them just for that. Schools in any other province don't do that. (I couldn't find any others, anyway).

I work for a major bank in the US and help small businesses accept credit cards.

I own an AMWAY business.

My husband and I own Black Belt Golf http://www.blackbeltgolf.com and ALMOST have a workout video available through Amazon.com.

I'm helping my mom start a cupcake business!

Nope, I'm not busy!!!!

Guess we're getting more personal too, so I should add, I'm 27 er 28 er...yeah, I think 28 lol!!! I figure I'll stop at 29 anyway. Married almost a year, no children yet, 1 yellow lab 9 months (almost 10). I love to read, love love love love love to read. Did I say I love to read? I also tend to get addicted to Facebook and so try not to get on it too much. I play Cantr and FTO (though I am considering quitting FTO once my characters die for various reasons) and no other online rp games.

Funny, I started playing Cantr in college and keep getting sucked back in.

Oh and Surly, my husband is a CPA - thankfully not for much longer in a firm since he is giving his notice in another month to be full time with our business. Yay! But he'll keep his license.

You gotta be kidding me!

He said a lawyer AND psychologist. Two of the highest paying jobs I know!

Don't know what a CPA is, but I assume that's the US version of a CA (Chartered Accountant)? Anyways, good to hear... we accountants are underrated..

Although technically I am also going to be a CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser). Yay for dual qualification!

Also hoping I can get one of the US secondments available next year (options being Houston, Denver & Minneapolis). That'd be awesome!

CPA is Certified Public Accountant -- they are the ones (usually) to do audits, taxes, are able to offer advice, etc. Better than just being a tax preparer by lots of extra schooling and certifications but different than an Enrolled Agent who can represent you to the IRS. Bleh, I've worked for the two largest Payroll outsourcing firms in the US so unfortunately I know far more than I would like about all that stuff, even before my husband! :p

I believe I'm the only accountant in Cantr senior staff, Joo. Sorry to disappoint.

Genevieve - sounds like CPA is the US version of CA in the UK. So I will have that qualification (with the 3 years of exams and lovely membership fees - yay!), but I'll also be a CTA which helps since it sounds like my job includes being an "enrolled agent", except with HMRC rather the IRS...

Anyway, I've hijacked this thread enough now. I'll go back to work! :P

When I'm not hallucinating @ the sheep orgy on the moon?

PhD (Human Geography)

On Chernobyl. Currently living in Kiev. Please send help. Or indian takeway. I would do untold things to a Rogan Josh.

Or, if not that, send an undergrad willing to write a PhD thesis for Twix bars and sexual favours?
Whoever you vote for.

The government wins.
