C'mon, a guy shoots an arrow through your window and remarkably, he did the same damage he would have done had you been standing directly in the path of the arrow? Unrealistic.
What would make Cantr more realistic is if people were allowed to gain some defense from their vehicle and increases their defensive capabilities inside such vehicles. Not something like a motorcycle, but maybe in a limo, allow people to put in bullet proof windows that have to be broken first before the occupants inside can be attacked and maybe tints on those windows so that the occupants inside the vehicle can't be seen.

Does this vehicle have glass windows that shatter and spray you with glass shards?

What would make Cantr more realistic...
I'm waiting for some guy to come and say 'realism doesn't feature in the game. saying that isn't a vaild arguement. Just look at if it improves game play'. Hasn't yet though - which is good cause I'd of said 'shut the hell up, you twonk!' Of course we should make the game as realistic as possible. Evil clowns phase-shifting in and out of towns killing everyone isn't very realistic but would certainly liven up the game for RP reasons - doesn't mean we should implement it! - anyway *smiles* Venting over...
But with that said, I'll answer using your realisim aguement:
An arrow shot through a car window will kill you as easily as it would without the window. Heck, get a good crossbow and it'd go through the metal door, nevermind just the window. So why not do as much damage in cantr?
What your looking to do is to suggest an APC. An armoured vehcile that can't be 'seen' into - therefore can't be shot into. Needs 25,000g of steel, engine and 8 tires.

Re: Vehicle Protection Capabilities
If we had a sensible combat system I'd see no reason why a vehicle shouldn't be able to deflect blows and arrows occasionally (damaging the vehicle instead).
Pretty in pink.
