Fireworks now days really really suck!!! Especially compared to when I was a kid. I am not talking about the displays you see from the sky, I am talking about the piece of shit fireworks you buy at the stands. Sparklers which is great fun for the little ones are so lame now. They burn a total of 8 seconds and take about 20 seconds to lite. Ground flowers used to be my favorite but now they are sad to watch. My kids enjoy them all, but if they knew what I knew, they'd be just as disappointed as me.

Yeah, what fun is a sparkler that lasts 8 seconds? I remember when I started noticing them getting shorter and shorter in length of time burning till finally I was like wait, why did I like these again? Fireworks are pretty expensive nowadays too. Who says Chinese labor is keeping costs down in America?

I bought my fireworks from a warehouse, and they rocked! $200 of fireworks lasted us for 4 nights, and I -still- have some left. Sparklers, smoke/flash bombs, spinners, fountains, roman candles, rockets, aerial bombs, firecrackers...my nephews had a blast, but me and my mom hardly got a break at all. Open this, open that, find the fuse, show them where/how to light it, then run away while making sure no one got hurt with the light, just to do it all over again. lol

That's what happens when you have San Fransisco liberals who love the smell of their own farts in charge of things. Their logic is fireworks are dangerous therefore they should be banned, but what's the fun of a fourth without that? They would ban cars because they're too dangerous if they could.

About four adults one child and a dog made absolute sure that I got NO sleep last night. First I wake to sounds of a child screaming "I'm peeing my pants!" and then SOMEHOW manage to get back to sleep. Then at 5am the mother decides to let the child not only play downstairs where -I- am sleeping, but makes NO effort to keep him quiet. Finally I find a bed when others wake and close the door, only to have another walk in and start counting change right beside my head. Loudly.

And then to take the cake the final straw was four adults yelling at each other while the child listened to teletoon at like fucking supersonic level, and the dog barked because of all the yelling.

Fuckyes.

We had a bunch of pyromaniacs with little regard for fireworks laws, so our group of 40 people had all sorts of interesting times. Did you know non-dairy creamers are explosive? (I didn't, but we had creamer-based homemade firecrackers and they were pretty intense.) We also had a 500~ bottle rocket set-up, along with the usual mortars and roman candles and whatnots. Along with two bonfires. Fun times, fun times.

Eating bell pepper, at least uncooked, gives me gas. I remember one time when I got a food poisoning after eating a sandwich with red bell pepper on it and even though that probably didn't cause the food poisoning, burping up the flavor makes me remember what it felt like to vomit it up and makes me feel nauseous again.
