Then we drove a couple more hours to Jackson, Tennessee, and I'm sitting in a room at Days Inn unable to sleep, even though I know I have to drive another 6 hours tomorrow to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Geeze...all this driving...I'm never gonna wanna -see- a car again by the time I get back home, much less ride in/drive one. lmao

Holy crap, and I was sort of grumpy about having to drive down to Schlitterbahn tomorrow morning! Good luck with that, that's an intense road trip to take.

Ugh...I didn't. My husband did despite my advice not to. He was worried when they started threatening to take us to court. I said "Ha! Let them!" But my husband is a pretty paranoid guy...

Interesting. Ours just took care of it start to finish. Maybe they didn't really believe it was identity theft? It was clear in our case.

No, it was pretty clear. LOL The lady admitted to us AND to the debt collection agency that she had done it and that she owed the money. Problem was, this took place 2.5 years before I was ever aware of it. There is some stupid law stating that if the identity theft took place over a year ago, you can't file a police report or some crap like that. The only way to file criminal charges would have been to go through the FBI. (OR so, this is what the police told us).

My idea is that the debt collection agency knew they wouldn't get the money from the lady, and so they knew they could "legally" go after us or something of the sort.

Pitiful thing is, she was an old supervisor of mine.

When we went to visit my father in Florida in January, we drove from Maryland straight through, a 21 hour drive (not including an hour stop in a small state park in Georgia and numerous breaks for gas/bathroom). And this was in a car with 5 kids (my wife and I shared the driving).

Ah, I see. We knew right away when the credit card bills started rolling in.

I know what that's like. LOL My dad was in the military so we moved around in the states a lot. EVERY time we moved, the six of us would cram into a car and drive straight to the next location with very few stops. We would even sleep in the car, as my parents couldn't really afford to stay at hotels. The longest drive would probably have to be from Alabama to Alaska. Took four or five days if I remember right.

We weren't getting the bills. The perpetrator was. Quite a shock....when a debt collection agency calls you telling you owe a $2000 bill and you are given the name of a supervisor from 2.5 years ago. :(

I managed to get social security so I no longer have to worry about how I'm going to pay the rent this summer. I have three days of work scheduled for the end of July, two 9 hour days and one 11. I've never even done an 8 hour day before.

I can't remember the last time someone spawned in my town that spoke English. I think there's a hex on it.

Actually I sometimes have the feeling that in some towns spawning has been turned off lol

My only thought is: What's the exchange rate for newspawns? Do they count for a day's work, or are they taxable like some harvestor-projects?

Taxable, as much as you see fit and can talk your way into justifying. IRL, anyway.
