Characters that irritate you/yours -

I have a few words I misspell every single time. If I'm thinking about it I go look them up on dictionary.com before I post :p but I often don't think about it. I also have certain syntax identifiers. I have no idea, however, how easy my characters are/aren't to spot. Someone familiar with who I play would have to tell me. *Winces* I have a feeling it is easy!

I think everyone uses the "he/she smiles" emote a lot so I don't believe it is that much of an identifier. I feel one of THE biggest identifiers is certain people playing each of their characters with the same traits. I can name three groups of players/characters that I have identified because of this.

Well, actually make that four when Rigel pops his dumbass head back into the game every once in a while.



What I would like to know though is do people really find this irritating? I personally don't (with the exception of Rigel of course) because the ones I have encountered have brought something new to each of my characters. They each view the 'clones' as something new based on their individual personalities.

Nah does'nt irritate me, I've seen other expressions placed in asterisks alot by certain characters. No need to be a nit picker, as long as they play the character well and they plenty of personality I could care less. Any about Rigel I second that, all that guys characters annoyed me that I met or even just heard others talk about. So he's still playing the game? I had hoped he had went on to World of Warcraft or some game where he could act like a moron and nobody would care.

Rigel Kent was appreciated by on of my characters, but hated at the same time. As for clones i have no problem with them as long as they have dissimilar names. One of the few things that will piss me off is when I am talking to -Insert weird name here- in two different location. It just causes confusion on my part.

That's actually against the CR, so you should report that when you see it.

Not to say that every aspect of the character annoys me, but seeing Drake Kras and his lover Madeline kiss/hug/flirt at every possible chance in Karnon Fields is a bit "irritating."

Really? I don't see anywhere it is against the CR. When I started playing Cantr I created two characters with the exact same name basically to see if the system would automatically prevent me from creating the second character. Fortunately, one of them died soon after in an animal attack.

I understand it can be annoying but why is against the CR?

Partially agree. A little irritating, but I'm getting used to it.

I actually don't see how this violates the CR either, but people who share names might also be inclined to share other aspects of their characters, up to actual information. More importantly though, giving some of your characters exactly the same names causes idenfification problems for PD and can therefore not be allowed.
