Diversified diets are an important aspect in human civilization. Without proper nutrients, who knows where we would be today as a race. So how about instead of people receiving the same benefits from eating potatoes all day every day, we start to encourage people to diversify diets?
For example, if a person eats 4 different foods such spinach, meat, potatoes, and carrots on 4 separate days, the person learns skills faster.
Furthermore, cooked food provide more nutrients than raw food and allows us to use our energy things other than digest our food. Perhaps eating cooked food could allow people to get less tired doing activities?

Re: The Benefits of Diversifying Diets
Well, cooked food lasts much longer than raw, so I think that is indirectly implemented anyways.
However, I do love the idea presented in the middle paragraph. I love the fact that so many food options are available, yet no one really feels the need to make interesting foods because they can mass-farm potatoes/carrots/whatever. It'd be nice to find a way to encourage more cooking and hiring of chefs.

Re: The Benefits of Diversifying Diets
I suggested a while ago to have an option to eat double or triple rations (requiring different foods, not just a greater amount of one kind) in exchange for a small benefit. This way we would also increase total food consumption without making life actually harder for those who can't afford the extra food.
Pretty in pink.

Well then let's merge this with your topic Pisc. This idea can provide Cantr with an increased sense of realism, as nutrition is an important aspect in human development. Foods aren't called "brain food" for no reason at all.

Perhaps we could have simply food groups. Every day, your character attempts to eat from each food group; if e fails, e has to compensate by eating extra from another food group. So each day, your character might eat 400 grams of potatoes, or 50 grams of meat, or 100 grams of potatoes and 12 grams of meat.

That's a good suggestion as well, but I don't think that there's going to be that much of a difference in game between a person eating 200 potatoes and 400.
