No. They have backups.

I wouldn't even come back if the world was reset in Cantr.

Many more wouldn't. Anyway it won't happen so no reason to upset myself about the thought of a reset.

I can understand that people would be upset over losing current charries (and wont happen) but I think it'd actually be good for the game. If you look at the two main english island they're almost totally developed. Nobody 'needs' to do anything anymore hence most are content to sit and do nothing.

Some places have 5 or 6 drills and things simply because they had nothing else to do but watse the resources. Somebody spawns and can almost instantly get whatever they want because theres 10 of them sitting in a storeroom somewhere. Want a building? Sure, pick one.

A clean slate would offer oppertunities galore.

I really do not agree with that. And it shouldn't even be a problem if certain things would get implemented. And you say it like every town has 6 drills.

The majority could have if they wanted.

90% of my current characters (within 2 cantr years) have got more/better stuff than would be normal for the luckiest 40 year old when I first joined.

Newspawns get everything handed to them these days. Theres no need, and in most cases reason, to go about doing anything any more.

Plus us more educated players probably would be more careful about letting things develop. We'd make sure things stay fun and interesting, building stuff from the ground-up rather than let it continue on how old Cantr was. ;D

LOL New spawns wish they would get everything handed to them. And in three days no less. Where is this town? I really want my new spawns there. This totally ruins my image of most new spawns being ignored.

The problem is in Cantr that most things made do not break down or get destroyed. It would make things more interesting if you actually needed resources to repair tools and clothing and machines and buildings. And that nothing lasts forever like tools do now if they are repaired.

Back when I started playing Cantr you had to -walk- 10 Cantr years, uphill each way and dodging conflicts, just to get the materials to make iron. Then you had to build a primitive smelter....Primitive! Just to have a lock on your house...the house -you- had to spend another 2 Cantr years building! We didn't have fancy cars and drills. No, you had to gather resources by hand! Newspawns these days don't appreciate anything because they don't have to work for it like we did.... *mumbles a little then falls into a slumber that lasts several days*

*he shrugs* Its true. Back then there was in game motivation for doing things. People wanted to improve where they lived. Now you just hop on the expressway.

Take a boat and go someplace unevolved if you dislike the evolved places. There are plenty of those locations around.

Of course everyone wanted to improve where they lived. And these days no one wants to. This doesn't sound very realistic.

Well, you all should learn portuguese and play at portuguese island. No development, no iron (almost no iron).

Oh, if the cities are developed and the life is easier, someone should try to make wars, intrigues, something odd.... :D
