The rivers are, of course, beneath the surface. Due to a physical phenomenon, that holds for each river in Cantr.

A thinly drawn piece of water would work like a river. If it was small enough you could undock from one bank one turn and dock on the other side in the next. It could be very long and resouces could be moved up and down it. There could be wood on most locations along it. And just one or two other resources to encourage trade. It would also be a physical barreir dividing up the conteint.

Some day when there's another contient I would really like to see a river system on it.

Rivers would be a good idea as if I am not mistaken basic boats are cheaper then cras etc, thus encouraging more travel!

Well you see, when a character starts out, they start at twenty years old. In that twenty years, they learn a great many things: walking, talking, writing, etc. Just so happens that tool use is an advanced subject not taught to many. But as soon as they find an object, person, resource, or whatever that needs a tool, they figure it out. See, simple answer.

And seriously, north is to the right because Jos made it that way when the game started (right?). And we're not yet able to rotate the images.

sorry snake byte but rivers can't coil if you want to get technical

Definition of coil
-a structure consisting of something wound in a continuous series of loops; "a coil of rope"
-a round shape formed by a series of concentric circles (as formed by leaves or flower petals)
-a contraceptive device placed inside a woman's womb
-wind around something in coils or loops

Wait why am I siding with the evil one? Your right Snake byte
