I think that's what he means. You probably could keep the population alive for another year with carrots and yet another year with asparagus.

Could you make a statistic of how many of every tool (type) are currently in use?

I don't think that's possible, or at least it would be very complicated. I can't think of a way to write a query that would give easy answers. Could maybe select projects currently being worked on that have tools mentioned in requirements, then check if the worker received the "you don't have the right tools to work on this project" event on the last hour but that wouldn't take into account people who started working on this hour.

If it would make your life easier, we can just assume that everybody working on a project also has the necessary tools. If it's still too complicated, nevermind. :)

I wanted to see if a lot of people died during the crash. It turns out deaths actually went down while the game was inaccessible, which is a bit surprising, but then again, it could be due to people being unable to unsub or kill other people's characters.

Code: Select all

Date   Deaths
2965    59
2966    48
2967    50
2968    78
2969    66
2970    59
2971    50
2972    95
2973    60 - game went down
2974    43 - game down
2975    25 - game down
2976    80 - game back up

It's a bit surprising that there was a peak of 95 deaths the day before the crash.

Code: Select all

Date   Violent deaths
2965    8
2966    4
2967    2
2968    6
2969    8
2970    0
2971    1
2972    5
2973    2
2974    0 - game down
2975    0 - game down
2976    5

People unsubbing

Code: Select all

2965    2
2966    2
2967    1
2968    1
2969    0
2970    0
2971    2
2973    1
2974    0 - game down
2975    0 - game down
2975    1
2976    1

Good to see there is no peak there.

I suspect that many of them belong to people who didn't receive their your account was approved message or may have even had their email entered by a friend. I'm not sure if bots can register to Cantr... but in general, there are a lot of accounts that time out with only the two initial characters and having been logged into only on the day of being registered.

If you don't need to eat, you can't starve. Turning off that function probably saved a few lives. The very hungrys would just die later.
Reveal to me the mysteries
Can you tell me what it means?
Explain these motions and metaphors
Unlock these secrets in me
Describe the vision, the meaning is missing
Won't anybody listen?

When the game was down they couldn't turn it off yet.

76 living people and 258 dead wear wool leggings. That doesn't sound like a whole lot. Let's pull stats on other pants as well.

Code: Select all

Living people's pants:
=======================
864 - simple hide pants
732 - hemp trousers
525 - leather pants
157 - cotton trousers
 76 - knit wool leggings
 67 - woolen slacks
 46 - silk trousers
 40 - suit trousers
 26 - hemp shorts
 22 - silk pantaloons
 15 - denim trousers
 15 - cotton shorts
  9 - oilskin trousers
  8 - denim dungarees
  2 - denim work trousers
  2 - denim culottes
  2 - denim shorts
  1 - skinny jeans
------------------------------
2609 Total

Dead people's pants
=============================
2088 - hemp trousers
1684 - simple hide pants
 928 - leather pants
 284 - cotton trousers
 258 - knit wool leggings
  97 - woolen slacks
  55 - hemp shorts
  53 - silk trousers
  41 - silk pantaloons
  33 - suit trousers
  18 - cotton shorts
   7 - denim dungarees
   3 - oilskin trousers
   1 - denim trousers
   1 - denim work trousers

There are currently 5704 living people so 45.7% of them wear some sort of pants. Thats rather high of a percentage, not to mention the ones that wear skirts or at least some sort of underpants. I'm rather surprised.

Out of people who don't wear pants:

Code: Select all

Living people wearing skirts:
===============================
leather skirt     107
hemp skirt    58
leather mini skirt    40
cotton skirt    39
knit wool skirt    32
reed skirt    26
silk skirt    25
feathered skirt    14
snakeskin skirt    14
great kilt    14
pleated silk skirt    11
plain wool skirt    7
pleated wool skirt    6
long wool skirt    4
denim mini-skirt    3
denim skirt    2
------------------------
Total              402

Dead people wearing skirts:
===========================
leather skirt     317
hemp skirt    236
reed skirt    121
cotton skirt    80
knit wool skirt    78
great kilt    57
silk skirt    39
snakeskin skirt    27
feathered skirt    23
pleated wool skirt    22
leather mini skirt    19
pleated silk skirt    17
plain wool skirt    14
long wool skirt    4

Out of people who don't wear pants or a skirt:

Code: Select all

Living people's underpants:
=============================
loin cloth     134
fur loin cloth    114
hide bikini briefs    61
fur bikini briefs    54
cotton briefs    31
silk knickers    17
leather bikini briefs    5
crochet cotton bikini briefs    2
-------------------------------
Total                           318

Dead people's underpants:
==========================
loin cloth     1220
hide bikini briefs    737
fur loin cloth    624
fur bikini briefs    356
cotton briefs    40
leather bikini briefs    13
silk knickers    12
hemp loin cloth    3
crochet cotton bikini briefs    1

So 7.0% people wear a skirt but no pants, and 5.6% of people wear underpants but no skirt or pants. That leaves 41.6% of people not wearing any sorts of bottoms. I guess it just looks like a large amount in game.

Why shouldn't you look in the wiki?
