It's not sleepy in any towns I'm in. I'm running riot making up for the missing playing time. My chars are still having fun.

Many say they are bored. I never understand that as I'm glad now it's down again. :D I didn't even be able to play runescape much yet today.

I haven't even gotten into Cantr yet. Kind of avoiding it, but I was just about to log in...

Practicing cello for a church thing, eating, and about to go to someone's graduation open house, and yesterday I got a job. On Runescape, there's a clan leader meeting at 9 GMT that I'm organizing, so I'll be there. But yep, there's life outside of games. Before Thursday, I hadn't been on Runescape in about two weeks. I had prom and graduation and two concerts and track.

No way, important stuff has already happened and they shouldn't roll that back. It feels like a lot more has happened in the day or so after Cantr came back up than in the week before the crash (although I had some nice discussions then too). I saw there were 100 people online in the last 15 minutes soon after I started playing again. I don't think that happens very often normally. Of course I hope that one guy won't manage to break out of lockup while the game is down, they really ought to halt all processes while the game is inaccessible. But if he does, I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope to log in before he does when the game comes back.

The problem right now is that noone can connect to the game to stop it if it's still running. The server itself isn't possible to contact for some reason.

Would it be possible to add a check that if nobody has been active within a certain length of time then processes would be paused?

Maybe. But let's not get technical here, we can discuss it in ProgD forum or somewhere else, where we wont make people go crazy from geek-talk? ;)

I guess some already know, but for those who don't: cantr time has shifted relative to real time. Also the time clicks for travel, projects etc seem to have moved in cantr time.

They always do when game goes down or is rebooted. The Cantr clock stops when the server dies, and resumes when it is rebooted.

It's quite annoying for people trying to learn when the ticks occur, but it's a fact of (Cantr) life.
