If you're new and haven't done so yet, we encourage you to read the Wiki! There are lots of good tips in it and some good tips in the forum (though you might have to do some searching!). There's a sticked thread for new people for starters. And welcome! If you have questions, feel free to ask in the forums. You can pm me and ask, or pm most staff members. You can also go to the IRC channel and ask questions in there! I'm in there half the time anyway...

Hmm, is here the correct thread to mention that the very FIRST post here on this thread has some old links to another forum topic and wiki, and that are not working? I'm trying to get some friends of mine to start playing, and was looking for a good "your first day" that was more than what the wiki had..

guess I'll have to start writing one myself...

I believe a new and better your first cantr day was needed to be made, but there wasn't any time or something like that.

Updated that link. I do believe it was the Treasure Island thread.

The other two links work just fine and lead to the current IRC and the current Wiki, though it doesn't link directly to the "Your First Day" article.

I feel like a dork again after reading that post again.

Thanks! I hadn't noticed thee Treasure Island thread was a FAQ type thing. I thought it was simply some RP or generalized advert for some group in Cantr.

(I read it as "Hey, join hte Blackrocks!" or some-such, in my head. oops! That'll teach me to not click on things.)

I found the Cantr FAQs on the bottom of the green screen character pages the most useful initially. It answered my questions so I didn't have to keep annoying people in chat.
