Oh man that sucks, sorry to hear. :(

You live in one of the worst economies in the developed world right now (California). Things will get better. There is no force as powerful as the human race's need to tear old stuff down and build new stuff on top of it.

I'm 18, just finished high school. I'll be working this summer and then going to college to major in Computer Science and hopefully Spanish. I run a lot. I did cross country and long distance track, and plan to still run. And I play the cello a lot too. I'm trying to learn programming and web-design. I also play Cantr, FTO, Ikariam (enough to survive), and Runescape. I'm very different than the average Runescape player though. I guess that applies to Cantr too.

Alright, may as well hit this topic. In the real world, which yes, today, I -am- admitting exists, I am one hundred forty hours of clinical exp short of graduating from college to get my degree thingy in Personal Support Work, with a palliative specialty. I was hired by my employer, The Red Cross, about a year ago, and got a free ride.

Basically what I do is help take care of people in their own homes/houses who can't do it all themselves, and I specialize in dealing with those who are dying.

Spare time I run 1-3 times a day with one dog, and walk with another. I garden my ass off as an outlet for OCD. I do a bit of accounting work and bookeeping/impromptu audits on the side if asked, as well as house/dog sitting. The rest of the time I sit around hammer f5ing cantr, and helping out modding in a few places.

Thanks Doug! I didn't know you could be so nice! :wink: I appreciate the words of encouragement. Things will get better, but I think they will get a lot worse before then. Thanks again.

I'm a 19 year old single father with a dream of playing college football, which was brutally shot down by dropping out my senior year to support a kid. I had lost my job recently in construction (due to being so damn broke), and now work at Wal-Mart (Quite a pay cut). My hobbys include binge-drinking, playing guitar and singing with our band, and drinking beer.. I like beer. Slayer out. :wink:

And that's exactly how we love you :wink:

Not the semi-starving part, of course!

Well I used to be a teacher but now I am a "junior" lawyer. I'm going back to uni soon for more studying and will at some point combine the two and teach law. The other option is to have my own practice, but that is quite a few years ahead. Quietly biding my time....

When I have time, I run, a lot. I am taking part in a few races this year, including a Half Marathon. I also love making my own skin care stuff (smells yummy and feels oh so soft! :) ).

Most of my time is dedicated to my beautiful Princess though *beams the proud mum* :D

Elaborate. I'm deeply in love with myself, my skin, DIY punk ethics, and veganism, and this sounds like a way to combine them.

I'm a 47 year old Computer programmer for a hospital. I'm married, with 5 kids, the oldest just finishing his freshman year in college, the youngest just turned 7 today. I'm active in the lojban community, which is how I got involved with Cantr. I'm also an editor at the OEDILF.com, the Omnificient English Dictionary in Limerick Form.

I'm a 25 year old Software Engineer / Database Engineer and mainly work with Web Development. I'm married with no kids, yet. I have 4 year old cat, 15 year old cat, and 10 week old puppy. I spend most of my free time playing video games, coding side projects, or hanging out with friends while getting drunk or playing pen and paper tabletop games.

47 yr old Father of a teenage daughter, I guess thats a job. Retired 12yrs ago as I became somewhat handicapped and the wife was (and still is) doing well enough that we could be comfortable.

I had a 4yr legal studies degree and planned on law school until parenthood seemed like a more important job. So I went for a M.S. (how ironic!) in criminal justice, mostly just as a hobby, and never spent a single day on a job using it due to the handicap...wasted degree, oh well. Living in florida and enjoying watching my daughter grow into quite a musician playing, heck, I lost count of everything she plays (ya, I'm very proud). All in all, life has been a blessing for me, despite the health problems.

So in a nutshell;

retired. Lots of time to play cantr...when its online. :(
