Are you certain? I can grow a heck of a lot more herbs in the garden as I can with a window box in the same amount of time.

So that might be what is stopping people from using gardens more.

That makes no sense.

Well, if we are talking about total outputs per object you are certainly right, but in terms of output per investment they are about equal. Three windowboxes should have the same output as a garden and require 180g of water instead of 60g of water and 60g fertilizer (fertilizer is about twice as hard to get as water).

You mean that it's not more effective than window boxes? Yes I agree that makes no sense. As my garden is much larger than a window box. :D Also what would the use be of making fertilizer when you can just use window boxes? I mean if I make things to help grow things in the garden I want it to certainly work better and give extra production a day.

Well, if you have huge heaps of dung lying around and need water for e.g. making fuel, operating a garden is the better choice.

Kwaki region in Cantr island has a swamp, and there are also lots of swamps on the Finnish region, which is kinda funny considering the word Suomi (Finland) is speculated to have origins in suomaa (swamp land).

I have a couple of characters with around 10 boxes each. I can make a crazy amount of herbs in a short amount of time. I can't have gardens in those locations so this works for me. Plus I like growing things on my ships!

I already put alot of time in pumping and have a stockpile. But with the new implementation I see I will need to invest a lot more time or just pay people to pump for me. But it can wait for a little bit. I mean do I really need more than 2kg+ of a dozen different herbs and flowers?

It depends on if you want to use them or not.

Two of the characters will use them to make medicines and honey. But the two on ships just use them for trading right now.

There are no plans to increase the water you can get in one day?
