My character irritates himself, does that count?

Amusing to me, considering the thread topic.

There's a few newspawns that have spawned at close intervals in several of my locations, taken things, and left. Really annoying. Come up with something better to do, people!

You can expect newbies to take everything not nailed to the floor because that's what people generally do in games. Who knows it might be useful later on.

Clementine Deschain and all her family, though they're not the only ones... whispering is overabused.

lol Why? The games I played before this were very different and I actually was waiting for those resource to get back to pick them up again.

Re: Characters that irritate yours -
I also picked things up as a newbie. My first character spawned in Blerk hills or something where I seem to remember there was only one person who was asleep, so I picked up stuff from the ground, started burying a corpse, got bored when it didn't progress in real time and left down a road. With my second character, I think I was more cautious. I don't remember doing anything in the first couple of days. My third character was Swedish and he picked up a shovel, another character asked "Is that yours, stranger?" and my guy said "I guess not" and put it back down. All the other people in the town were sleepers. I also thought that when projects mention tools, it means the tools have been added to the project and you get them after finishing it. So it would be useful if it said "Tools had:" and "Tools missing:" or something like that instead of just having them grayed out. If a person doesn't have any tools then they're not going to know that gray means not available.

There is a bit of a difference between taking everything, and taking everything and quickly leaving. The ones that leave right away almost certainly have experienced players behind them.

Not necessarily. Lots of newbies will try out all mechanics... which would lead to taking everything... and walking onto roads...

If some one is just trying out the mechanics, they are equally likely to leave first as they are to take everything.
Even less likely are the one who take only stuff that is actually valuable, or just the laws, or who enter as many buildings as possible, probably looking for stuff to take.
I guess my point is, how many people do you see just take some bones or something like that versus the ones who take the tools/weapons/useful resources, and then leave.

Re: Characters that irritate yours -
When I started playing, I read all the relevant sections of the wiki and forum before I even spawned my first character, then promptly got irritated by the crappy laws in the town and started pushing for reform. Yea, I was the -other- kind of irritating newspawn.
