Odd bug

Postby Pirate Lass » Mon Jun 07, 2004 6:01 pm

One of my characters in Djorf Hills North is having a slight problem. Everyone's names are in white, he can't speak privately, there is no link.... He's quite alive and I know everyone didn't just drop dead...

None of my other characters seem to have this issue.

I;ve got that problem with my character in Aki. He's also my first character. Is that anything to do with it?

The people havent all died, i checked that. they're still there.

Possible, after you mentioned that I checked my first spawn and it's the same with her.

I am aware of the problem, and I am fairly confident that I know the cause. ;)
I just don't have the time right now. I believe, the problem is limited to characters who are currently burying someone. If that is not the case, please describe briefly what your characters are currently doing.

I'll fix it as soon as I have time. ;)

If your characters need to talk privately to another char, just stop burying for a moment.

It happened to one of my characters who is collecting mushrooms (in brinks forest). But I think you could still whisper through the people tab. A bit awkward if the subject isn't named though.

I believe, it's better now.

If it is not, keep screaming. Especially the mushroom collector needs to be checked. I have no explanation why that character would have a problem.

A new event just happened, and the names in that are dynamic, but all previous events in my history have non-dynamic names.

Could it have anything to do with some poor sucker being killed by a deer?

I thought it'd fixed itself, but if you're the one who fixed it, Thomas, then thanks. :D

I'm also the one who broke it, though. ;) But that was in an attempt to speed things up, which might justify the short period of inconvenience again. If it really speeds things up has yet to be proven, but I am fairly sure that it won't make it worse, at least. :P
