Re: Disuse of Mallet
List of stone or wood objects that require a chisel:
Metalworking that requires a chisel:
Ambiguous
Clothing that requires a chisel:
wooden clogs - it would also make sense to include a carving knife
diamond encrusted gold crown - this has intricate detail so keeping the chisel makes sense. Also currently it uses a regular hammer but since it's an intricate object, it would make more sense to substitute a peen hammer to stop people from making crowns with stone hammers
golden wreath - I think this could keep the chisel since it's used for decoration

Re: Disuse of Mallet
Also renaming vehicles and buildings can be done with chisels, right?.

Re: Disuse of Mallet
Right. I wonder if that's the sign on the list or if it's defined in the code.

Re: Disuse of Mallet
As signs are no objects as far as I know it's probably in the code somewhere. The sign in the list is likely some half-baked idea from the time when dinosaurs walked the earth.
Pretty in pink.

Just use the mallet as a weapon and continue on!

Re: Disuse of Mallet
Mallets should be required in order to break windows (which somehow removes their magical effect to make the building "open" like vehicles), a proposed mechanic from another thread.

Re: Disuse of Mallet
I'm leaning to make the mallet a wooden hammer with low durability, mostly because we usually don't go too much into detail anyway and it would also be much easier to implement.
Removing the chisel as a requirement for metalworking and adding a hammer to the remaining projects that require a chisel can be done regardless, but I guess that can wait until a more general overhaul.
