I agree with Thomas. You can pay for the system that is already there, and because of the hosting we have to pay. The programming itself is voluntary work and I wouldn't like it to be anything else. I don't want to feel obliged to program for Cantr, I program when I feel like it

... You should donate for keeping the game as it is running, and you can only hope for improvements

...
About the traffic light idea: I don't like it too much, as it will stimulate people to pay too late. It would mean that only when we run out of money, people start paying, but I would like to have some buffer so we actually take the risk of getting good hosting etc. Like we have now.
About extra characters or time etc., I keep having the really stubborn idea that this is against the principle of a free game. Although it would help our financial situation, it would also make the game more fun for people that have a creditcard, or a regular income, etc. and, call me a socialist if you want, that is against my principles here

... The game is free and every player should be equal. Staff members don't get more than regular players, nor do paying members. Donations are voluntary financial gifts, similar to how staff donates time, without any additional advantages, simply to keep the game running.
