Tortoises

Postby Snake_byte » Fri Jun 04, 2004 10:21 pm

I'm not sure if that's the way to spell it but anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever killed a desert tortoise before. I tried to kill one with my hunting bow and did 0% damage!!!

Oh which reminds me, the old suggestion of resources at sea, I think it should be brought up again.

Like being able to see/hunt animals like pelicans, seagulls and other animals at sea.

Also, resources liek Cod, trout and other fishies should be able to be collected! Like certain fishies near siom, diff fishies near naron, etc.

I killed some of them ages ago.

Yeah, their shell is amazingly strong, you'll need a big ass weapon to get him. Or you can keep trying with the bow, and hope that the odds are with you and your arrow goes in through the turtles head hole and stabs him that way :P

If you have a sabre you can kill them quite quickly.
I have made a couple of tortoise shell shields, but I haven't gotten a chance to try them out yet.

Yeah, if you can kill a creature with a shell like that with a sabre, logically a shield made of it won't stop a sabre completely either.

But you make the shield out of PIECES of the animals shell, so it's weakened because of that. (That's my excuese)
