Instead of this happening when you flip a coin:
You toss nickel coin. The reverse side points up.
I would like to see this:
You toss nickel coin "Denarius". The reverse side points up.
Of course "Denarius" is the name of the coin press where the coin was originally struck. I'd like this feature so that I could casually show off my rad collection of (some would say valueless) coins by flipping each coin one by one. Don't say it wouldn't be realistic to include this info! If you can see the coin clearly enough to determine if it landed heads or tails, you can see it clearly enough to determine what type of coin it is.
let a coin flip show the "name" of the coin

I was actually going to oppose your suggestion for exactly this reason

Not sure I really want to see the screen lit up just to find that you keep flipping this coin... and this coin... would be just as annoying as say... whispering

I completely agree that wading through a list of coin flips would be annoying, and desperately hope no one decides to do that, but I don't see the potential inconvenience to be enough of a reason to defeat the underlying suggestion.

Re: let a coin flip show the "name" of the coin
Okay so, I don't know how it on other continents, but I've just flipped a few canadian and american coins. I can clearly see if it's heads or tails, even if I throw it three meters from me. However, unless it's in my hands I can't seem to read the writing on any.
I'm against this suggestion, just because I like my realism today
