The Dead Character Thread

I've had a few accounts over the years... let's see if I can remember a few of my older chars...

Udo Koch - lived into his fourties at least. Built a multi-room house in Plaekur named Koch Manor. I always wondered what happened to that house.

Chris Hayek (I think?) - a member of "The Crew." Went to plenty of places and hit many people.

Robert Quill Blackrock - not one of my favorite charries, but he WAS a blackrock, which was interesting.

Alec Ket / James Carther - one of my more entertaining charries. Built a sloop and caused all sorts of small amounts of chaos wherever he could. He even ran into one of the more famous explorers of the day, whose name I unfortunately forget.

There was an account or two's worth more, but none of them were really important enough to remember.

He was a good freind, a good RPer and a good town leader.

If he had managed to stay town leader for more than a few days he would have been much better. He had some good ideas.

RIP: Erik Wills Blackrock

My absolute favorite character and he is dead now. Erik was keeping me playing Cantr for a long chunk of time despite not really wanting to play. It is difficult, now, to keep playing though I am glad I kept to his personality and did what he knew was right to do.

With Naedell going through her own people like Darth Vader goes through officers, it's a wonder that there's any Blackrock's left, or that people still want their characters in the tribe. I never liked Erik anyway.

If you read, Erik was given the option to live. Erik chose the right Blackrock manner and had himself killed like he should have been the last time he acted up. It had nothing to do with Naedell, it was all Erik.

.....and you're not generally supposed to like someone who insults, belittles and attacks others for little reason.

Playing with fir... a volcano? Erik couldn't even get in the front door with- oh wait... yeah fire, volcano.. yeah.

And in reality that was the point of the character. See how much he, or I, could get away with.

Savvy broke up a few fights between Erik and a couple Stone Knights before anyone was killed.

*chuckles* Very true. The one long term blackrock I have, has had all of their former blackrock freinds killed or they run away......

My character went through lots of emotions getting to know Erik. Fear, hate, jealousy, respect, love... then mourned terribly when he hit the ground just as understanding was comming around.

Rip Erik Blackrock you will be missed.

Oh, and good job Dudel, he was one of my fav characters in all of cantr.

Personally though, I thought Erik was a great character, as annoying as he was to my own, he provided a change from the norm, something I think Cantr could use more of.

Erin Delias hated Erik so much. It was so hard for me and her to understand him. But he was brilliantly played and stuck to his personality.

Sarah Nolan, a simple trader woman, is in love with him though. Shame he died.
