Cantrians are immortal. How may old looking vampires have you ever seen?

Mary Sue argument of epic annoyance! Just cause someone lives forever doesn't mean they are free from aging. This is a crap argument. Immortality =/= forever young and if anyone has seen any bad "Tales From The Dark Side" type of shoes with Genies or wish granters... yeah.

There is an average lifespan for Cantrianians, it stops at about 29 or 30. Cantrianians are NOT immortal they simply can not die due to old age. Then again, anyone seen a 200+ year old Cantrinian?

And if you actually paid attention to what I wrote, you would see that I said that the gram is the mass PART of the mass/density/volume system. If you're going to act like an ass, get your facts right at least. Try again.

Wasn't being an ass to YOU. I could be an ass to YOU but you are PD and this is like pissing in the public water while everyone is watching you. It would end with ME being forcefully removed even if I had some form of right to piss where I did piss. (And yours is STILL just a single unit of measure and not a system as the other pieces are missing due to Cantr's lacking in description.)

And my problem with the averages is this...

Dudel wrote:Dudel's version of American Scale

Medium/average = 5'6" - 5'9"

Though someone 5'4-5" (female) or 5'10-11" (male) could still be considered average height. Its this whole large chunk of differences that makes it just odd. This also fits with the 5 ft =/= 160cm (or whatever it was). They are "about" 5 feet or of some random "average height". Its bothersome, I think the height should be programed or something.

ALSO: I'm fine with making anything that says any specific measurements be metric provided it is a WRITTEN DOWN RULE. As it will never be written down, ever, I'ma stick with being a thorn in the side.

I think I like inches better than cm since cms are shorter so they give more exact measurements, and we don't want exact measurements.

I've read (or at least glanced) through all the current English descriptions and many of them mention gray hair or wrinkles, sometimes even people in their fifties have them. But there are also people in their seventies or even 90+ who don't look old at all. After all, the players are aging much more slowly and it's not very fun to play an account full of geriatric cases, it gets old (okay, pun intended) after playing a few. If you let your characters get physically old, they won't get sex anymore.

Edited out banned user content -Doug

This game should be more forgiving to new players with more additions not less forgiving.

Editing out content that goes for the topic and yet is "at" a banned user is rather bullshit, Doug. Especially as most of that was NOT directed at said user to begin with.

Dudel wrote:1) Cantr isn't about sex.

2) This is a Mary Sue argument to its perfection. "My character must stay almighty and awesome for all of forever." Be that reason for sex, power, whatever.

And maybe I was exaggerating by generalizing. But Cantr is a game, games are supposed to be for entertainment. If the other person is willing to ignore where it says "very old" then why should I ruin it for both parties by describing how one's vagina is so dry that it would hurt both parties to go in, or that one can't put her ankles behind her neck because it would sprain or break her hips and spine. Okay, maybe slightly exaggerated, I tend to avoid extreme poses even with younger characters and older characters might take longer to get wet, or might have trouble staying aroused.

Dudel wrote:3) No one says older characters need to have Alzheimers, liver spots, and wrinkles but the mechanics clearly state that there is aging involved so they should not look as though the day they spawned (at least not on average).

I doubt any of my characters look like the day they spawned, although I might not find it necessary to mention wrinkles for someone in her seventies who doesn't realize she's that old, but I imagine her looking around 50 and others can imagine her as they like. I don't find it completely realistic when someone who's very old is described having golden hair, without any mention of graying (or whitening, blond hair doesn't really go gray) but I wouldn't start bitching about it. By average, older characters DO look older. I could do stats by age categories and check how many mention gray hair and wrinkles.

Also there are some characters who act childish and it's somewhat fitting that they also maintain a youthful appearance, although they might get wrinkles in the corners of their eyes, but they probably have baby fat so that their cheeks will look smooth even around a hundred years of age.

I finally got around to finish my last ones. Had some problems with the hermits and explorers, as they have had very little interaction with others and I didn't have an image of them in my head... until now. :)

Hey Returner? The first bold was an opinion of everyone else that Dudel was saying was crap, not his own.

..Thought I'd point that out.

I've got them all ready loooong before this was implemented... for the chars I had before I pushed The Cross
Now it's only a few. I still need some more time to get to know my new charries better.

I just randomly add some of my descriptions in here and there when the mood strikes me to finish them. I have one character whose description makes me chuckle regardless of all efforts to be serious.I ..don't think many people imagined her that way, so if/when someone does look I hope they have a good giggle too.

I keep waiting for other people to finish their descriptions.

I'm very curious as to some specifics about one character which I interact with on a normal type of basis. Though I've a pretty good idea how the character looks due to how the player RPs, I still wanna see that description.

There are four characters that I really hope would be described.

I just can't picture what my characters would look like.
