Webzine Brainstorming

Postby Snake_byte » Wed Mar 03, 2010 10:56 pm

I assume everyone has received the messege concerning the Webzine and it's new issue, currently being published.
theguy and I thought it might also be a good idea to have an idea thread where everyone could either jot down ideas that we may want to write about OR even come here to get a few.

Some may include: Artwork, History of a city, short stories of one of your characters long gone, comic strips ect...

Creativity is the key and we're accepting everything for viewing! Don't be shy! ;)

For instance, I was thinking of writing a fictional short of some of the daily happenings, maybe some of the odd ones :D

Well I don't know about anything in specific other than my own ideas BUT...

Had an idea to write a fictional account of a newspawn's (or several) first day in Cantr. Some typical ones, like internal thoughts and the like. I'm still working on the vague idea.

I always like A Cantrian Day, just choosing one day and describing what happens on that day.

Yes. I miss those. Since we haven't had any crashes fairly recently or massive dead time I think we could get a good day. Would write for this.

Yes, I am.

Though it still in its conceptual stage. I'm working out the ideas bugs before I get to writing, itself.

Something like Spoon River Anthology would be nice... or did we already do some sort of an obituary thing a while back? Since a lot of interesting characters are dead, people could tell their life stories very briefly and particularly what lead to their deaths, writing from the perspective of the person in a grave. Or it would be interesting to have someone buried in a sea as well.

Have you seen those "Seven-Word Answers"?
Whatever the question is, you must answer it in seven words. (Or six. Or five.)
We could do an obituary thing in that style.

Also, although Sunni is not around, we could still do poetry.

And, of course, weird statistics you'd like to know.

Oh oh oh, and what about lolcatz Cantr-style?

Oh, I got one!

2896-2: #41 (a man in his twenties) says: "anyone here like mudkipz?"

The same guy then entered the building named "FREE FOOD FOR ALL", and has since been knocking on the door from the inside (it is full now) for a few days and doesn't seem to understand how to get out of there. I'd really like to write his obituary... soon...

A bit more on topic: I'd love to have a reocurring Top10 list section. E.g.
- Top10 ways to dispose of mad newspawns
- Top10 most annoying things you have to do when running a town
- Top10 coolest stuff a character can carry
and so on

I can make a top10 list for each issue I guess. I'd happily accept input, ideas and other peoples lists too, and then sum it up for each issue.

:) Awesome! I'm very sorry that just let everybody realise that any ideas they post here it may be suggested that they actually write it but don't let that put anyone off because there isn't any pressure and even the littlest bits of input are welcome.

Thanks for offering to write that Echoman, remember deadline for this issue is 31st of April so make sure you send it to me or snake_byte by then, if you need any help just drop me or snake a pm

Lol... I actually thought the date seemed odd, but couldn't put my finger on why I had that feeling. :)
