Entering and exiting a road instantly.
Simple.. Enter a road instantly, leave it instantly, provided you're on 100%.
You can enter a road right now, but you could spend up to three real life hours exiting them, waiting for the 100% tick to turn over. It's very frustrating when trying to catch thieves.
The delay wasn't implemented on purpose.. Rather, it is somewhat of a bug thanks to slow turn-progressing system.

EDIT: Actually rethinking it, since instant makes it on the other (mischief) hand also easier to hide and pop up.
How about instead the ability to look into a street from the "Location" Tab? You're not entering the street, but you can see who is everybody on it, just like when traveling, would be very fair alteration IMHO.
Don't change the topic of the discussion after the discussion has commenced. This topic is to discuss instantly returning to towns after leaving them.

This would be solved by moving to a real-time system, rather than ticks. I don't think that converting to such a system is beyond the realm of possibility.

Yes it would be solved by real-time, but it does not have to be that way, this could be achieved by a simple code edit: when clicking turn you make an if (at 0 %) you pop up in the city immediatly instead of switching to 100%. No Realtime required.

I'd be okay with this as long as turning around caused maybe 5% of tiredness. Then if someone was running back and forth between roads just like people tend to run in and out of buildings to avoid being captured, they would eventually get too tired to block hits.

If it would really be that easy, then changing this would be great. Seko has a point, and I support her addition. This will make it harder for thieves to get away, so maybe the tiredness should be increased even more, to 10-15%.

Sounds reasonable.
(If not any turning around would cause tiredness, but only if it makes you reach your starting location immediately.)

Pretty in pink.

I doubt this should be very difficult to implement. I'd be surprised if it was.

If it really is simple to add then I'm all for it - I've thought of this before but always just assumed there was no getting around the ticks.

Same! The motivation to suggest it came when I was playing on my iPhone and clicked the wrong road, and was stuck there for 3 hours while chasing a thief. An OOC mistake due to failed in-game mechanics has caused this little bugger to get away!!

Haha, it's excellent for web browsing but you're right, I shouldn't buy an iPhone..
Actually, it's my third iPhone in a week. The first was cracked, so I replaced it.. second got run over TWO days later!, so I replaced it.. now up to my third!
Back on topic, you're a programming member! What are the chances of seeing this implemented??

As I remember Marol said once that sooner or later he would move Cantr to a real-time system, rather than ticks. So this solution could be considered as temporary for problem you stated.

I do hope he DOESN'T change it to real-time. I like the tick system and is one of the ONLY reasons I can even play. (Cause I can leave and come back at X time when my tick should be finished and not loose anything)
Provided tiredness was added at least after the second road was checked (meaning you could hop on one road, change your mind and then pick ONLY ONE other before getting tired) I see no harm.
