Room blocking

Postby wadko » Wed Feb 10, 2010 8:23 am

A char blocked a room on a ship with stuff and himself. What to do? For me it is game abusing, becouse there is no RP from the blocking char.

It's allow, what I know.
"An those with little fuel, could tie a pack of bears in front of their limousine, with whip and crossbow in hands to keep them in line."

Unfortunately it's allowed. It's bad play in my opinion. But well some do not care and just (ab)use such things.
There is no rule that says I can't post as much I want. I asked my lawyer.

Excellent.

I can not sink the ship or burn it, but my car uses kilograms of fuel. Is someone even trying to do something about it?

I'm showing no blocked ships at this time, which means that your character will fit if they drop everything.

The official policy is that all land vehicles and rooms are cleared of dead bodies, both routinely and upon request. Ships must be done on a case by case basis. Seko's in charge of clearing ships.

Well... I'll try to get into the room on that ship, but I have tried this earlier and I got a msg "the room is full".

I suppose it could also be possible that there's no place to remove the body to, so it wouldn't show up on the list (meaning that there's no room on your ship to transfer the body into). If that's the case, there's nothing anyone can do about it until you empty out your boat.

I believe the problem is that the body is still alive.

I didn't say that there is a body. An alive char has blocked a room on the ship. So what can be done about this? The char isn't RPing.

Nothing. You're stuck waiting for them to come out, or die.

Cantr logic? If a friend closes their door, and fills their room 'till it's seriously full capacity, floor to ceiling, wall to wall, can you get in? No. Neither can you in cantr.

But you could at least try to remove/hit/gas the person.

Irl if the room was completely full, the person inside couldn't get out either. Unless they were standing right next to the door, but then the door could be bashed in and it would crush the person standing behind it. A person in a fully loaded room should feel very uncomfortable and not be able to do about anything. While if you barricade the door, it should take time to do it and also to move the stuff away when you're planning to come out. You certainly shouldn't be able to just run out, hit people and run back inside. And indeed gassing or smoking them out would be nice.

But I can make a hole in the ships hull and say "sweat dreams".
