Actually being able to sleep

Postby Snake_byte » Tue May 25, 2004 9:19 pm

 I was thinking that maybe there could be a button in the game that you can click on to make you actually sleep. It could last somthing like 2 cantr hours or somthing or even have a "wake up" button. The point of this is that when you are "sleeping" now, you can still see things that are going on and keep working through your sleep. In reality, this can't happen.
Yes I know that you'll all say that this is a major disadvantage to the ones that are sleeping, beacuse while some are sleeping, others will go around and cause trouble. But maybe noises can wake one up. Such as attacks on the people around you and if you are attacked, the attempted breaking of locks, dragging ect.....
I was also thinking of a way to integrate fatigue. That way if you try to stay awake and work all the time or be a full time thief, you'll be forced to sleep at one point because you are too tired to stay awake.
Well anyway, that's my idea. So give me your input people.

It has been discussed before.
I agree with you. Perhaps not that you wouldn't register things that are happening (it would be hard to program where the limit goes for what should wake people), but there should be some form of energy meter that should have to be "refilled" by sleeping.

Sleeping indoors should make it go faster.
Sleeping in a bed etc. should increase the pace even more.

And there could be resources like coffee that would give you an "instant refill" etc.

Ya the bed idea is also good. :) But for the coffee, it wouldn't be right to give an instant refill, maybe a max of half, then half of that half and so on untill it won't fill it anymore.

Yeah, I didn't mean that the whole meter would be refilled.
