I think Cantr has a nice concept in itself. It doesn't restrain the players to do what they want with their characters. And of course, we abuse of that trying to make always the Alexanders and Caesars, until we settle with the Jonh Goodfellow.

Well its not supposed to be some some people are trying actively change that. :(

That is one of my reasons too.

...its not about "who has a higher level" or "who has the best stuff".

...it IS about actually PLAYING rather then a grind to "be the best", despite what SOME may think, say or do in the contrary.

I left a bunch of games I been playing for years recently. Addiction for one actually caused me real life lose. Reason I left them that it was tired of the bloodshed, power gaming (that once I know how to do for a game I can't stop it and after a while it takes the fun out it as it becomes an errand) and the loop holes that people come up with in the foreums to justify the bad things they are doing in the game.

This game was a breathe of fresh air.

...even though on my second/third day here a 'crazy' newspawn was killed clearly for the ooc reason no one wanted to put up with him though ic reasons were given. (Happened over 4 days ago)

add annoying n00bs to my list of pet hates in games.

Staff does work hard to keep things running too... and they do it for free. The crazy lot of them.

Declaration of love:

The existence and development of the game itself (Cantr II) exceeds what I design and develop to myself (my characters).
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.
Cantr is like Vegas - what happens in the game should be in the game.
