Sneezing sickness

I would also propose random sneezes for healthy people but that could only happen if no one else sneezes during that tick, and could only happen to one person. Also since the person wasn't actually ill, it couldn't infect anyone but the others wouldn't know the difference unless they wait for a fever to appear, which wouldn't happen.

Cool.

Developing a runny nose might fit better to the symptoms than a fever.

There is a cure but currently it might be difficult to notice if you had discovered it. It would make more sense if rest and warm clothes could help you get better. Or eating garlic and honey, or tea. Just having one random miracle cure doesn't make much sense, and if it gets discovered in the game, a lot of towns will start producing it and the disease might get eliminated. Or then the cure could be made so expensive that only rich people could use it.

Edit: Runny nose makes sense, that's a good point.

There should indeed be a period of immunity after recovery - as it is now, to be sure of getting rid of it each person must be isolated. With an immune period, that gives you a chance to get out of the hospital, or whatever, before catching it again. I know of 2 chars in a building who kept infecting each other for years, non-stop.

I'd honestly rather see the sneezes removed... or have something of a harsher punishment for sneezing so it can't be ignored.

ALSO: The cure should be "easier" to find as a majority of Cantr things take odd random things to build/make. HOWEVER, it would be interesting to try and be "that guy" who found said cure... but then the cure would end up magically on another island somehow and worthless. :(

It goes cause tiredness, so that's a slight negative effect, but I think it was mainly a test to observe how it spreads.

Yeah. Instead of a "cure", there should be certain behaviors that reduce your odds of catching the Sneezing Sickness and speed recovery if you do get it. Things like wearing clothes instead of running around naked, eating cooked food instead of raw potatoes straight from the ground, resting on resting furniture, and keeping damage/tiredness as low as possible should help (but not be 100% effective). Thus if people got really annoyed by the constant sneezing, they could pass laws that encourage a healthy lifestyle.

The conventional RPG solution (Magical Red Potion of Healing made from dragon tears and fairy dust) doesn't really seem to fit the spirit of the game.

I dislike diseases in the game at the moment, but I don't think I'd mind so much if there were cures and ways to prevent it like this that actually made sense. I still have no idea how to cure the sneezing sickness, but resting for a day or drinking/eating something nice (maybe even carrying a handkerchief around!) for a few make the most sense and really ought to work.

Also, when you're cured, you ought to get some kind of message that tells you you're feeling better, and the same thing goes for the fainting sickness.
