Cantrian body confusion
A thread for things you would like to know about how a Cantrian's body works/how it could work.
I was curious if creating a hermaphroditic character would be possible. Since the gender menu doesn't allow it, picking the gender that best suits the character's physical appearance and then role-playing it as a hermaphrodite would make the most sense. Is such a thing allowed?
Also, I realize that real-world hermaphrodites are often a package deal with a slew of other malformations, and they are rarely completely 'functional'. Would it be different for a Cantrian?

If Dudel plays a guy who doesn't have a penis then I don't see why you couldn't do something like that as well. In real life everybody is either male or female based on if they have the Y chromosome or not, unless they have chimerism in which case there would be cells with two different sets of chromosomes mixed in their bodies and those could be from when a male and female embryo merged in the uterus. Since Cantrians are spawned as adults, it could be argued that they were never embryos in the first place, but you could also say that a male and female spawn accidentally appeared in one place at the same time and merged into a single organism. Since Cantrians don't have the technology to examine chromosomes, it wouldn't really matter if your character was a chimera or if it was a feminized man or a masculinized female. I think if you choose to rp them having physical traits of the opposite sex, no one should have any reason to complain about that, but unless they can cover it up with clothes, it's going to require emoting it regularly so that you're not just spending years with some people, naked, and one day you go "*has a microphallus*" and the others are like wtf?

Er... with myself I just emoted my character keeping himself covered that way emoting anything that might be otherwise awkward was never raised. Character raised quite a stink about getting himself pants, for him at least.
And as Seko said, "If I've got a male character with no penis and testicles, I'm sure you could get away with your character having both." Just pick which gender they most physically appear as. So I'd suggest picking female, in this instance. And that's only because female traits, in my opinion, are more difficult to emote outside of emotional. (If that makes sense)

Those are the best kind of hermaphrodites, too bad they don't exist.
Obviously my character would be intent on covering her/itself from the start, so the only way it would come up is in an intimate situation.

Not really, if I intended to only do that I would just use a normal gender, I doubt many people, even in Cantr, would react favorably to realizing the girl they were just about to do sex to has a penis
