TEST MY NOTE!
Ok I made a note I want to see if anyone can copy it. So those of you who know HTML real well come try and copy it. Just tell me where your characters are and I'll have one of my characters hand you the note.
Im not very good at html so I think this is going to be a trial and error process. When you find out how to counterfit this one I'll make a new one with new techniques until I make one that no one can copy...at least for the time being. I want to start a bank and bring money into the game.
So please help me.
I can be contacted on

emm, if you want to make money/currency, I think I thought of a way, the use of keys, To introduce money, you must first lose some, for every10g iron we give people 1 key, then when they bring key back, they get 10 iron. This way, they wont be copied, eventually, you start a mortgage system, then you get rich

You cant use keys, each key cost 10g of iron making that 10g of iron useless except for the purpose of being a cone er whatever.
Say a key was worth 10g of iron
but it takes 10g of iron to make..
there would be no way you could back them unless you paid double for each key you made. I mean if you want to go for it but its not gonna work

Not if the government issued a monetary system denoted by a single key #, each backed by 10g of iron, and making all transactions in their realm be required to be in the form of this currency, they could enforce one as a coin essentially. Even if someone made a copy of this key, it'd still just be a single unit of exchange and cost just as much as with the government bank and to make, so making counterfeitting useless.

Thankyou
Thats what I was trying to say, if you could claim 10g iron with it then they won't be counterfeited. But a key is 10g in weight as well, so iit would be useless... Hey, I could just back it with 20g iron or steel. But i risk the key to be counterfeited.
People would deposit steel in our bank and get it back when they give key to us.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but wouldn't the key thing work just the same if it we a coin? Like this :
You build a coin press. Now every coin that comes from that press has a number unique to the press, making counterfieting impossible. Now go with the same idea as with the key you are talking about. Now different banks would communicate with each other so they know what numbers are for what banks. If a coin has a number that the bank doesn't have on record then they don't honor it until the number is verified by the bank. Now it would be useless for a town to make the coins, say out of steel, just to cash it in another town, where it would hold the same value as what they used to make it.
Now, another thing that can be done is coins made of different materials. Such as wood, wich is worth 20 grams of wood, Iron coin = 20 grams of iron and so one. You could even make on of stone. Either way they are only worth what they are made of.
If this doesn't make any sence, then don't mind me, I didn't get any sleep yes

It would be easier of each Coin Press was given a random number automatically, so that they all produce different coins always.
But then that removes the aspect of forgery.
If you could input the serial number of the coin into the machine, you COULD forge it.
As well, if you charged 20 grams of a resource for each coin, then there would be no point in trading for lower denominations (Ie: I have 10 grams of Iron, I'll trade someone an Iron Dollar for it!)
As well, there would have to be some way of melting down the coins to get the resource (If made from a metal).

Ok you could use a key but it would be pointless,
Why use a key that costs 10g of iron to make?
Thats just a waste of 10g of iron
Wouldnt 10g of iron be worth just as much? And you could still use it for projects. Where as if you made a coin(key) then you could not use it on projects anymore. People would much rather trade for iron than.
Key will never work as a currency believe me
The only exception would be if a ruler had absolute power over an area and forced everyone to use it. That would be an extremely stupid ruler by the way to waste that much iron AND time to make coins(keys)
Final Point:
Dont Use Keys as Currency

And I should smack you for making me waste my time reading that useless sentence. *Smack*
Have you read any of the previous topics? I mean almost all of them have gone off topic. If they hadn't, I would pity us.
